• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    B100F Code fault?

Do you have any symptoms? I'm guessing that your Check Engine light is not on. When I had my shop we would perform routine diagnostic checks on cars with no complaints and be surprised to find oddball body and chassis codes.

I added a usb/voltmeter to the middle blank port in dash.

I did that to my 17rtl but its a dual USB with voltmeter.I plug my my phone in and my helmet camera.

What's the one thing you think is Useless Junk on your Spyder?

I agree with you on the paint job. There are no black areas on my 17rtl but where the seat meets the body there are littles bubbles in the paint, very strange. Also Ive never had paint on any vehicle that will scratch or show rub marks as easy as this Spyder. Its like they used soft paint...

What's the one thing you think is Useless Junk on your Spyder?

I see a few folks dont like belt drive and I dont either but If BRP was to change to shaft drive there would have to be major chassis changes which might push the pricepoint out of range for many folks. On the other hand it would make rear wheel/tire maintenance easier.

What's the one thing you think is Useless Junk on your Spyder?

I kinda like the way the key system works, but it seems too complicated and I dont trust it which is why I put hidden release cables on. My GW had key fob controlled locks like a car and it worked fine till 1 week before I traded it in.

What's the one thing you think is Useless Junk on your Spyder?

I could definitely see a much more functional, cooler dash could replace those speakers.

What's the one thing you think is Useless Junk on your Spyder?

I wonder what their reasoning was for that change, I know having the shield down makes it a little easier to put the cover on but that cant be it.

What's the one thing you think is Useless Junk on your Spyder?

What's the one thing you wish Can Am would have just left off your bike or made it optional so you couldve just said no? I'll start - for me, I just don't see the point of having a sound system at all. I've been using in-helmet systems since the 80s. Maybe just optional for those who don't use...

Little Blue's December 2021 Weather News

It's going to be 70 today here in Delaware, but there was a snow scare on Wednesday, so they laid brine down which means I wont be riding again till maybe early March. It sucks bc I have a new rear tire to break in.

Where is a good place to attach a Guardian bell? 2021 RT Ltd

I drilled a small hole in the chrome floorboard support on the left side of my '17 RTL and put the bell there. It's low, but it has lasted 3 years.

Anyone notice the Bumpskid on that thing

Are bump skids worth the money??

I like my BS on my '17 RTL, it looks good and lights up the road directly in front of me. I think it helps people see me coming. My LEDS have burned out for the 2nd time, just individual LEDS not the whole thing. I need to find a source for a new set bc they're expensive if you go back to where...

    Removing rear wheel

I just changed my rear tire last week, 3rd tire on the bike but first time using a car tire on the back. I changed out my bearings and seals bc I had read here that they were failing at low mileage, but then I found out that it was old info and not true. My bearings were fine as well as the...

Is your spyder shaking, start with the belt tensioner. Now on to Tires!

I googled it and found 16 shops in Columbia that have the machine or at least their website mentions it

Trail braking while turning hard left

I find that if the turn is clear meaning you can see all the way thru then I don't worry much about braking. If visibility is limited and I'm going in a little hot then I can hover my foot over the pedal by using my left knee to hold my weight. It's not easy but very doable for me. I really wish...

Is your spyder shaking, start with the belt tensioner. Now on to Tires!

I had a Case of the windshield skakes since new. I also thought it might be the belt so I put a belt tensioner on and lowered the tension down to 160. That cured the vibration but the shaking was still there. On my last trip I noticed that the fenders were actually bouncing. I took the tires to...

    BRP should demand an apology.

I like how they say Harley should just own the problem. If Harley just admits its their fault they might as well close their doors. No big corp will just accept responsibility for a problem like this, at least not till a court forces them to. On a side note, I think the majority of the public...

    Riding Spyder in Rain ?

I've never had that problem on my 17RT but I do have the Hopnel dash bags so maybe they're blocking the rain or maybe I just dont notice bc I have a modular helmet. On my GW I installed a rain/wind deflector that was a piece of foam that you slid down bettween the forks and the fairing, maybe...
