• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

As newbie's to the Spyder family my wife and I attended "Spyders in the Hills" for the first ever Rally event this year. The experience was awesome!! We rode the beautiful Hill Country and visited some great Cafe's, Wineries and Sites. The event was very well organized and it was apparent a...

Thumbs up to SpyderPops Had a little computer/key issue pre-emptied this afternoon by SpyderPop and got some sage advice about where not to get my RT serviced. Seems there were several updates that had not been addressed. Good to find someone who not only made sure they were updated, but also...

First Ride on my new front VREDESTEIN QUATRAC 5's

We did a 200+ mile ride yesterday and loved the ride. Two up tracking was straight as an arrow. I am given to overcontrol in strong winds but found this not to be an issue yesterday. I'm running 17 PSI on the front and 26 on the rear (Kenda). To say I am satisfied would be an understatement...

First Ride on my new front VREDESTEIN QUATRAC 5's

I finally got in my test ride or the new Quatrac 5's. 90 miles in pretty strong Texas winds and found them to be outstanding. I really could feel the difference at low speeds in city traffic and then hit the open road cruising at 70 mph. The handling ... well all I can say is "WOW". I...

Review: First Spyder road trip impressions

Great Post... Thanks for sharing your experience and the JOY it brings. I bought my Spyder early this year and at 74 I am having the most enjoyment since I stopped flying back in the 90's.

These are the sights we experience when the ride is about the journey vs the destination. Love my Spyder and the freedom it excites.

    Belt vibration

I just finished a 1700 mile trip and found the same vibration issue when under load. It seemed to be most concentrated in the 60 to 70 mph under load (hills or acceleration. It sounds as if a correction of tension might very well be in order. :banghead:

    My new baby!

Congrats on the new ride. I can appreciate your excitement ... said the same words a few months back. Check out the "Spyder's In the Hills" rally in Oct. We have planned that as our first visit to an event. Enjoy the ride as stay very focused. Ride safe.

    First Boo Boo

Straps were thru the rim only and not the pulley and actually the alignment when backing looked pretty good but after quarter mile forward the gap widened to about 1/4 to 5/16 inches. I did alignment and set tension at 180 this morning... took it for fairly long ride and all is good.

    First Boo Boo

I just returned to Central Texas from a visit to Nags Head, NC. The trip was a vacation for Liz and I with a lot of focus on enjoying our RTS while exporing the Outer Banks. We trailered the Spyder both directions. Had a great time by the way. Now for the Boo Boo. I apparently applied too...

1330cc Sounds like a fan cycling on and off

On a trip to OBX in May I noticed a sound very much like what you describe. I have not investigated the source yet and wonder if you have found out any more that might lead to an answer. The spyder is pretty new to me so I don't know whether it may be normal or not. ???? Thanks for feedback...
