• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Upgrading from a 2008 for 2012, some questions about price

The fees for document / dmv seem to be the same at all of the dealers. I replied on someone else post about the difference in setup between factory and customer setup.

Upgrading from a 2008 for 2012, some questions about price

I have been looking at some of those deals and knowing the cost of that 600 mile service and the 12000 mile valve check does make one to consider.

Upgrading from a 2008 for 2012, some questions about price

That is a thought-consignment. I was expecting $9500 or in that neighborhood. I have seal floor boards, corbin seat, elevated handlebar, 25 inch windshield, passenger extension foot pegs. They had a 2008 with nothing on it and they wanted $14000 (I seem to recall).

Upgrading from a 2008 for 2012, some questions about price

First off, I would like to thank everyone who responded with the info and opinions. After I posted here I then read the below listed article. If you haven't read it I would recommend it. Very nice and true. http://spyder.brp.com/blog/post-details?PostID=480393a4-36d8-4d1f-b45a-a151011657e8...

Upgrading from a 2008 for 2012, some questions about price

I am thinking of trading my 2008 spyder in for a 2012 RT A&C SE5. After paying $2000 over retail and $1500 for the extended warranty I don't plan on taking a financial bath this time. Went to a dealer today and they offered me $5000 trade in on mine. They want to charge me $20,999 2012 RT SE5...

Where are all the Spyders on the west coast ??

I have driven 36,000 miles living in south Monterey County. Only one in the area. Have not seen very many spyders outside of planned rides. I wish there were more dealers and I said that to the Can Am rep at the San Mateo Motorcycle show.

For the Mechanically challenged (like me)

Add me to the list of people who are dangerous with tools. I have all sorts of tools still in the shrink wrap, that way I find someone who can do it, I tell them I have the tools, I just need someone to use them. My stress level/blood pressure goes up if I try anything mechanical.

    What's your top speed rss..???

I think another great song is the live version of Freebird especially towards the end of the song. Now my question, previously my spyder went 100 mph. But lately it will not go over 85 mph on flat roads. There has been no change in the windshield, tires, stock engine before and now. I have had...

    A New Spyder Accessory

So one of my co-workers showed me her most recent acquisition. She is a knife fanatic. I asked her where she got it and she said it was in the display case of the Snap On tool truck. I asked her if she wanted to sell it and she asked me how much did I want to pay for it... I said I could see...

Any suggestions for prepaid SIM card in the US for a Canuk iPhone?

Straight Talk phone I have been using the $30 straight talk phone 1000-min, 1000-text and 30 megs of data for the past two years. While you don't get to use it in Canada, I considered buying one of the $30 dollar phones while were were up in Canada, but decided I didn't need one that bad.

Want a chance to win a new Spyder?

While I have a FB account it is not something I spend a lot of time on, but after seeing Lamont's post, I signed up and later I went on and look and it said 27,000 likes. :yikes: I have a better chance of winning the lottery.

Want a chance to win a new Spyder?

I wonder what the question is, "How many wheels does a spyder have?"

    military retiree question about TFL

I am not sure about New York, but in California there is an agency that answers questions about Medicare and that is what you are now being enrolled in. If there is an Area Agency on Aging, they would also be able to give you the correct info.

Post here if you have over 5000 miles, not kilometers on your Spyder

Just went over 30,000 today. I have had my spyder since June 2008. But I have had it in the shop a few months at a time for some repairs.

    SpyderLover Map

Lamont, not sure where it is, or if there is one; but have you considered a map of spyderlovers members? I know that there is one on the BRP website, not sure how "current" it is.

    numbers

It was a woman traveling west on I-69 about 25 miles west of Port Huron. We were on our way to London Canada. I thought that it was a dark colored one. No it wasn't me. I have been back in California since mid September.
