• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Why you should flush your brake fluid properly

After following this thread I became concerned about the possibility of having brake fluid contamination on my low mile 2021 Spyder and prepared myself for performing this service by myself with the installation of Speedbleeders. I was shocked at the deep discoloration of the fluid and how it...

Where do I Find the ABS Bleeder Valve on a '21 F3?

If BUDS is required to cycle the ABS pump to fully bleed the unit, what stops you from energizing the ABS pump manually by jumping the relay?

Are the New Speakers from Slingmods worth it?

I wouldn’t trust any audio manufacturers specifications as being the least bit accurate and reliable.

2020 RTL - how/when does the Power Steering work?

Power steering on an automobile takes tremendous amount of hydraulic pressure to turn the wheels while the vehicle is standing still. I would imagine the same for the Spyder and mine acts the same way as yours so I think it’s normal.

    2011 RT won't start - any ideas??

I’ve seen automotive batteries have proper voltage when measured statically but just fall on their face when the current demand of the starter motor was applied. I don’t have X-ray specs but I believe that there was a poor connection inside the battery that would cause an open circuit under high...

Another tire pressure thread - why didn't BRP include TPMS?

The tire pressure monitoring systems is a mandate that was set by the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) and motorcycles don’t apply to that regulation. I believe the reason it is not available is that the instrument cluster has no method of supplying that information. The TPMS...

A question or two for those who carry firearms on them when riding

There are differing dangers across this country that most better be prepared to handle. Maybe where you travel having bear spray is a common travel item? In other places it’s the human predator street gang member. Just like bear spray, smoke detectors, door locks, fire extinguishers and security...

Why you should flush your brake fluid properly

Does the ABS on the Spyder go through a self check on start up like a car? I was just wondering if so could we use this to our advantage.

New Spyders - Check That Aligment!!!

What you started with is 5mm total toe out and a misalignment of thrust angle. I was wondering what the actual recommended toe spec is. The changes made were to correct the misaligned thrust angle and bring the toe in to reduce scrub. Normally, rear wheel drive vehicles are set for total toe to...

Any ingenious ways of hauling Fishing poles?

I used to fish quite a bit with a Daiwa travel pak outfit. It comes in a small case with room for a spinning reel and some tackle. It was an ultralight outfit and I would run 4-6lb line. I used it for fishing ponds and forest preserve lakes for large mouth bass, bluegills and an occasional...

Stabil Blue & Marvel Mistery Oil: Don't laugh!

The intake manifold can be removed and the engine crankshaft rotated to close the valves on a cylinder. The technician then can use chemicals, solvents, brushes and compressed air to dissolve and clean out the carbon before rotating the engine to do the same for the next cylinder. Again, my...

Stabil Blue & Marvel Mistery Oil: Don't laugh!

Was it “Joel the Biker” when he posted this —> https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?144195-2021-S2S-motor-blew-up!&highlight=Engine+blew I read it then and reread it now. In my opinion what was reported then was inconclusive and not evidence supported. Maybe someone else?

Stabil Blue & Marvel Mistery Oil: Don't laugh!

My basis for the statement is based upon decades of experience working in the automotive field and information about gasoline supplied by Mobil oil. I have never seen water being immediately drawn into ethanol gasoline that is in a proper gasoline storage can or the fuel tank of a vehicle fitted...
