• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Any seats for shorter riders?

don't know your budget but I have used Russell Day Long seats and they are by far the best motorcycle seat I have ever used - and I have used almost everything! https://day-long.com/

    Sideways wind

Because you're riding on wheels and can't "crab" into the wind you almost always will have some side wind on you. When it's hot it's great, when it's cold it sucks. However, I have run into some extreme cases over the years. A number of years ago my buddy and I were returning from a trip to Camp...

    Windshield vent useless?

I think the stock Spyder windshield sucks. The highs here are in the high 40's and low 50's. That POS windshield directs the air on you and you can't shut it off. It's like riding a snowmobile without a windshield. I have order the touring model windshield with the adjustable vents. $400 because...

Don't really expect an answer, but WHY all the BuRP ads?

I've never seen a Spyder ad on TV in this part of Maine.

    Highway riding

I am a retired flight instructor (among other things) and I wouldn't dream of sending my students out flying without numerous practice hours and dozens of maneuver repetitions. You're jumping from completely new to high performance. Forget you buddies. Get up early Sunday morning and practice in...

Top rack luggage bag, which one?

I too have done days in the rain. My favorite is an old Army pack (without frame) and surplus waterproof bag inside. It has never leaked but not as pretty as some of the $3-500 commercial waterproof bags. Now, with this S2S model, it has custom bags with it so I probably won't need my old pack.

    thinking about cross country ride?

Excellent advice! I have taken some very long trips by car/motorcycle and found that you should also take back up paper maps with you (if you can find some). I have found that as you approach the Arctic Circle, rugged mountainous terrain or jungle (don't go unless you must) the GPS gets real...

Radar Detector Install - where; and any recommendations as to type?

I'm planning some long trips this summer. I have an old Adaptiv 2.0 from my old bike but it simply won't fit easily and ascetically. I would prefer to install a system not visible from a casual glance and I don't have to take off every time I leave the bike. Any suggestions?

Top rack luggage bag, which one?

Better check your rack/BRP info. My last motorcycle had a limit of 5 pounds on the rack. That included the bag - that's not much! Don't know what the RT limit is.

I ordered the Can Am windshield. I like to stay with original manufacturer. How difficult is it to install?

Can Am Windshield 219400993 - can it be completely shut off?

You're probably right. I'm freezing some of my body parts off riding right now - and I have cold weather gear!

Does anyone know if the vents on this windshield can be completely shut off for cold weather driving? Thanks.

    Sea To Sky Standard Equipment

Actually, there are plenty of threads with miss information. The OP that I saw simply wanted to know what the S2S had for standard equipment. That is a list taken from the brochure. I really don't care about the differences are between the Limited and the S2S. This is the standard equipment.

    Sea To Sky Standard Equipment

I saw a post asking this question but can't find it now. This is what the on line site lists: Premium LED headlights / Rider touring floorboards / Adjustable passenger footboards / Ultra comfortable adaptive foam seats with lumbar support and Sea-to-Sky embroidery / Audio control keypad / Glove...
