• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    GPS recommendations?

Garmin Zumo 595LM mates with BRP Connect and can use BRP Spyder mount. I have one and it works great. Goes thru rain, extreme heat and snow (so far)!

New Windshield Vent Cut Outs On 2021 Why?

Yeah, I don't know about superior design. I have the optional tall windshield. There is no discernable difference with the vents open/closed except the air moves thru the cockpit with it open.

    CloverCrawler is down!

I here a lot about scarcity of parts but I haven't had any problem with BRP accessories. I have a significant amount of money in accessories and haven't had any trouble getting them thru the dealer or on line. You do have to be careful of the on line dealers though.

New Windshield Vent Cut Outs On 2021 Why?

I don't know why they did it but they weren't thinking - especially for a company located in a cold environment! At 45 degrees the air blasts thru there and freezes the rider. It's like not having a windshield at all in the cold. I took it off and installed the optional windshield with...

    Motorcycle Camelbak

It has been hot enough around here (107 degrees) to warrant a Camelbak when riding. However, i wonder about using the Camelbak with the seat back i have. Any one use a hydration system with a seat back?

I want to plug my iPod in. There is a jack type device and as well what appears to be an Aux jack. Which one do you use? The manual is silent on this type of stuff.

New to me Spyder RT - what would you folks consider comfort/safety upgrades?

You need to define your type of riding before you buy add on's. If you do long trips of thousands of miles at a time you might want a Russell Day Long seat ($$$) and custom Helibars. If you're a weekend warrior putting a couple of thousand of miles year on your machine don't bother with the...

Got a new Sea2Sky - and now have a few questions?

The seat is some type of memory foam and you have to put miles on it. I now have almost 1000 miles on it and find it very comfortable (I'm very finicky, too!). Not sure about the dash - mine switches back and forth but not constantly. My biggest complaint is the software. So far I have not been...

Thoughts on upgrading old Spyder vs purchasing new.

In my opinion you have to be careful you're not putting lipstick on a pig. The major difference between your old bike and the new is the change in design. No matter how much money you put in your old bike you can't change the design. A number of years ago, I was involved with a fleet upgrade...

Helmet Communications Systems - what are you using?

I own a new Shoei Neotec II helmet. I have owned many Shoei and this is the best. However, I had planned on buying a Sena SLR2 for it but the reviews suck. I have previously owned/own some J&M systems but the speakers are very hard and hurt my ears after a short while. What systems are you guys...

Hotel Parking Lots & Traveling - what precautions do you take?

A few years ago I stayed at a reputable hotel in VT. There was a number of MC in the lot (no Spyders). Luckily I got there early and cabled my bike to a light pole. During the night a team of flatbed and wrecker came in and stole three MC's. Looks like they tried to take mine but I had a...

Sea Doo parts - are the oil filters the same?

The 1330 is a snowmobile engine. If the stock number is the same it will fit. Should be some snowmobile dealers around you.

What's the best TPMS to use on a 2021 Spyder?

I looked at their site but had the impression they were just for 2 wheel. CORECTION: They're for 3 wheel also.

2020 & up - is there a stronger rear trunk gas strut?

I can't find the post right now, but someone stated they added a second strut after they had installed the rear rack and the lid wouldn't stay up.

    Spyder sales

I can't speak for outside my area (Central Maine) but motorcycles (including BRP) ATV and SXS are are selling at an unbelievable rate. The exceptions are the very large motorcycles which aren't moving at all. Of the four powersports dealers I know around here, they have sold 100% of their stock...

Test rode a new Harley Tri-Glide

Well, I can see this thread is all over the place. In an effort to bring the subject back to HD Tri-Glide. When I was trying to make up my mind about buying a tricycle type rig I test drove a few brands to include conversions, HD, Slingshot, Spyder, etc. I test drove the Spyder first and was...

What's in your Spyder Tool Bag?

I like to go places where the crowds are zero and where the scenery is majestic. Correspondingly, cell phone service is spotty or not at all. Some places in Canada I carried a Sat phone. So, I carry a practical kit that will get me to the next garage. (some tools, tire plugs, etc).
