• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just scheduled my first oil change

I am getting my 3k service next month. I wanted the dealer to do the first service. Maxim Power Sports told me it's $200 + the oil kit, which is $120.

    Spyder Sightings

I have had my RTL for a little over a month. Tonight I finally saw another Spyder on Hayes Lenord Rd in Valparaiso IN. There is a Spyder dealer 10 minutes from my house so I thought I would be seeing lots of them around. Not so much, or I have been on the wrong roads.

    Checking The Oil Level

I agree with the less-than-great manual. I was trying to find the VIN on my 2021 RTL. Take a look at this drawing from the manual. Since it doesn't state which side of the bike to look at for the swing arm, I assumed left because it is a left view of the bike. Stupid me, :joke: it was on the right.

Can’t find VIN and I did look at the manual

In Indiana you have to show it to them if the bike is from out of state. I did find it. You have to look from behind the right tire. It’s on the frame running vertically. It’s just to the right of a stainless steel hose. The hose makes it easier to locate.

Can’t find VIN and I did look at the manual

I just picked up a 2021 RTL. I went to register it and the DMV needed to see the VIN number I looked in both places the manual says it should be. Any ideas? If you have a 2021 RTL could you take a picture pointing to where its located? I am 90 miles away from the dealer and really don’t want to...

What's in your Spyder Tool Bag?

Coach Bob has a nice video about what he packs. I wouldn't do everything he takes, but it's a good list to start yours from. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBaVezZhzIM
