• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pedal Commander vs Pedal Box - what's the difference?

I just received and installed the Pedal Box from Martin on my '21 RT. I am not an early adopter for most things but I will say I am quite happy with the new performance of the RT. I will likely run this in one of the Sport modes. My first impression is that the power is more readily available...

Do 2020 and newer models handle rough roads better?

Elka shocks are best for rough roads as well as handling. After the Elka's on my '21 RT they were impressive enough I haven't added the sway bar mod. Lamonster installed them and even suggested I may not want or need the sway bar. Have 6,000 mi since March.

    Hit a deer

Yes it is rutting season most places so deer moving about day and night frequently. Our local paper publishes deer car collisions and the rate is going up, mostly during dark morning or evening hours so far. I hit a deer with my '21 RT near Pagosa Springs, CO in June and damage was only $850...

    Right wrist pain

Not sure I understand the Throttle Boss compared to the Cramp Buster. Does TB replace the entire grip and is it a slip on for the Can AM '21 RT? I already have foam grips. The TB picture looks like the device includes an entire grip? I had a Cramp Buster one time on a maxi scooter but it ended...

    Right wrist pain

Agree only good on long stretches and not much traffic. I think the mechanism on the RT could be cleaned up a little for easier operation.

    Right wrist pain

Don't forget some forearm (wrist, grip) exercises or seeing your PT. Agree, Cramp Buster and cruise control good also. As AtomicEd said changing ergonomics may help. This spring I hit a deer on a cross country trip that took off my right mirror and bent the right grip throttle just enough that I...

Now or Wait Until Spring for First Oil Change?

There are other items to be checked at 3,000 miles besides the oil change. I agree get it changed/serviced and be ready for the first warm weather.

Foam hand grips - do they work with heated grips?

I got foam grips from canamspyderaccessories.com for my 2021 RT. He claims they are slightly thinner (video here) and work better than thicker grips. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMmyhYa6mnY They work well for me with either the low or high heat. They have not become sticky and after several...

    Kenda Kanine rear tire trial!

Some on here said the OEM rear Kenda was gone at about 6500 but I realize that could vary a lot. I have 6,000 now and would not take a long trip given the wear I see now as a nearly bare tire on a long trip is not something I would want to deal with. I was lucky that my dealer had a few of the...

    Kenda Kanine rear tire trial!

Just found a rear k9 for my rear 21 RT as at 6000 mi it’s looking worn except for local riding. Until I know otherwise it seems prudent to follow mfg recommendation on tire pressure. Undoubtedly someone knows more than me on this subject.

Tire Pressure screw up at dealer service

I"ve never left a tire shop or a vehicle dealer with the correct (as in manual) tire pressure. I just check the next morning with my own gauge in the approximate air temp I'll be driving and or the type of driving or hauling I'll be doing. I have an electronic BMW car gauge that sounds off when...

How do you dress for a ride?

I was midway through a 2300 mile trip to AZ in June and struck a deer outside Pagosa Springs, CO. Fortunately the deer jumped (according to witnesses behind me) just before I would have struck him dead center and took off the right front stock mirror and bent the throttle handle bending it...

Tour of the US - any suggestions? Plus roads, places, restaurants etc?

In addition to an aspirin in the morning I would consider some compression socks. Recommended for anyone who is sitting all day for multiple days especially if you are older. Get the longer style. Here's one reference but just google the topic...

    Canada to Mexico ride

Get it fixed and get on your trip, you will regret it if you don’t. These things happen and likely never happen again. We all take trips with a contingency plan in place and likely never use it. Enjoy the trip! I want to do border to border myself, just completed a 2300 mi trip and no problems...
