• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You will not be disappointed. The F3 is everything I wanted my original RSS to be. It is awesome.

    Heated Grips

I test rode the F3 with the heated grips in January of this year. (Damn cold in Pennsylvania) Maybe it was the Gore-Tex gloves I had on but I was not impressed. I will stick with heated gloves. If you want to ride in the winter, heated gear beats grips. Just my experience... your mileage may vary.

    I may have messed up..

I have a good story for you. I took my RS in for service once and they didn't completely reattach the power cable for the fan. It was cold in the morning the next time I rode so I didn't see any problems. As the day warmed up, the Spyder dumped all of the coolant and I was going into limp mode...

In Pennsylvania, I ordered my F3 first week of January and got it the end of April. Your observations have merit.

Dam***it Jim - Just got my helmet stolen

Unless you have a shorty half helmet, it is not going to fit up front or in the saddle bags of the F3. Sorry to hear it Tazzel. Humans suck sometimes. Stealing someone's safety gear is repugnant. I have gotten into the habit of carrying the helmet in with me when I go to a place I will lose...

Day trip from the Raleigh area to Boone and the BRP on 10/10

If everything works out Friday afternoon, I will be able to join you. I'll let you know Friday night. I got a little lost scouting that Lowe's parking lot tonight and ended up in Raleigh. I am pretty sure I can find it again though.

    North Carolina

Greetings Spyderlovers, I will be heading down to Raleigh, NC soon for a work trip. I'll be there for two weekends. Any ideas for fun after work hours? I would love to try the tail of the dragon but that is a five hour ride west so I am not sure I'll be able to do that. I have to stay...

    Service fees by dealerships

When I got mine, the sales guys still thought it was 600 miles. The service guys laughed when I told them and said to read the manual. It's 3000. The sales guys know better now. (Remember, my F3 was the first one delivered by my dealer.)

    F3 SM owners- Some relief

I other news... my shifting thumb has remained the same size and strength. ;) Glad BRP is taking care of this. My first demo ride was on an SM and I was glad I got the SE after that experience.

    Gear chatter in neutral?

My fellow Spyder lovers, everything is fine with the F3 motor. In the end, it was what I though. Machines make strange noises. I heard a sound that perked my ears up because I had not heard the 'pebble' sound before. The unsolicited advice I have for everyone here is to not worry about the 1330...

Question for all the people unhappy with factory F3 saddle bags.

Four or five hours total. The biggest time span was waiting for the coats of plasti-dip to dry before applying the next one. I put on four or five. The second bag was easier since I learned from the first one. I would say 10 minutes disassembly and 10 minutes re-assembly per bag. It would have...

Question for all the people unhappy with factory F3 saddle bags.

It is factory. The chrome part is the hinge. I disassembled the bags to get the hinge separate and shot it with white plasti-dip, then put it back together. Here is a link to the DIY: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?85698-F3-saddle-bag-hinge-remove-for-paint

Question for all the people unhappy with factory F3 saddle bags.

Julia, I totally agree. Bags On: Bags Off: Connector you don't notice: The bags themselves are not perfect, but you can put them on and remove them in less than a minute. I like mine and will modify them more to suit my needs. The large metal panel I talked about in my first post...
