• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Roll call: Younger riders or riders with no health issues?

I'm 27, next year I'll be 37, then 47 yada yada..... also mildly dyslexic. After nearly 15 years of no two-wheeling, I decided to give it another go. I bought a Sportster "Superlow" bike that in my younger years I would have considered a toy. I have lots of miles on baggers and Buells so I...

    New to the trike

Welcome Young Feller. I made the same transition this past June. Staying in the wind was important to me and I think that choosing a Spyder was the right decision. Have fun!

AAA Towing Coverage vs BRP's Under Warranty?

BRP, AAA and AMA. I have all three of these. My F3 is a 2017, so I have that coverage. I never thought of using AAA for cycle towing which is the primary reason I am an AMA life member plus; This gives me towing coverage too. Hopefully, I'll never have to use it.:D

F3 Engine Check Light with display "Check DPS"

Check DPS error seems to be history. I have had not had a recurrence of the Check DPS error and assume that it was a new bike or new rider-generated glitch. All seems to be well as I approach the first thousand miles on the machine.

    Tank Bag

Since the bag is designed to be attached magnetically, there are no "D" rings present. Whatever I attach will be sewn or attached with velcro. Finding somebody willing to trade is a great idea but not likely. Anybody out there that wants to do that? :dontknow:

    Tank Bag

I have a tank bag that I used on my Sportster and it was very useful. However, the bag mounts magnetically, so I guess you can see the problem with mounting it on my F3. I am assuming that I could sew some straps to the bottom and run them underneath then use velcro to connect the straps to...

First time out riding on 2 or 3 wheels ....

Welcome! I'm new also (6/1) and enjoying it very much! I have 30+ years on single track vehicles so there was a slight learning curve, mostly about relaxing the death grip that comes from riding a new type vehicle. My F3 is great fun and I'm lovin' it!

    F3 vs F3-T?

Yes, it is mine and I like it too. I appreciate your comment. :D

    F3 vs F3-T?

Obviously, there are many riders responding to this question that have more in-depth knowledge than I do since I have only owned my Spyder since the first of June. I chose the basic model which does not have the features that the more touring-oriented models do. I do not ride two-up, I probably...

F3 Engine Check Light with display "Check DPS"

Problem Resolved? I have not had a repeat of the check engine light or Check DPS message after putting more miles on the bike. What I really need to do, and will do soon, is get it out on the Interstate and run for 50 miles or so to see if I can make it happen. Driving at sustained highway...

F3 Engine Check Light with display "Check DPS"

On "moving the case forward"... Hello Sandra. I have been contacted by "Georges" at BRP and that was essentially to record my VIN with the purchase date, apparently to update the data base to register the warranty. The dealer, Mountain Motorsports of Kodak, Tennessee, suggested that I bring in...

F3 Engine Check Light with display "Check DPS"

Well, in spite of two emails from BRP promising a call from customer support within 24 hours, it never happened. This is distressing and is it what I can expect going forward? I am not a happy camper. BTW, I was told by one of the techs at the dealership that they were having trouble with the...

F3 Engine Check Light with display "Check DPS"

I have gotten BRP involved and am expecting a call from them tomorrow. Wish me luck and thanks for the replies. I think I am going to enjoy this group and hopefully will have more to contribute as time goes along. I am a fledgling moto vlogger and have a few videos on YouTube under the name...

F3 Engine Check Light with display "Check DPS"

Not sure what "pull active codes" means or how to do it. Since the code seems to disappear when the machine is shut down, that would seem to be the time to do it but I don't know how. Does this require a code reader like an OBDII device on a car or is there an on board procedure to do it?

F3 Engine Check Light with display "Check DPS"

The problem named in the title frame began right from day one and has mystified the dealership's service techs. It happens after the machine has run 30 - 40 miles at highway speeds and clears when the bike is shut down. The problem has left no audit trail that can be read by the service...
