• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP is shipping incomplete bikes to their dealers!

There are so many other Countries we could be doing business with to produce goods, including our own. Even it costs more. Follow the money. :cus:

    Scrapped my ELKA shocks

I heard they originally used cheap seals from China and that is the reason they leak. When I want to get aftermarket shocks, Ill shop local and get them from Racetech.

    Recommend/suggest Bluetooth for single rider?

Cardo Freecom 2x is what I would get as a single rider. The JBL speakers are well worth the price difference for a single rider since u are listening to music. Alot of people will tell you Sena. You won't find a single online review that says Sena is better than Cardo.

    Gilbert Gottfried, RIP

I met him at a closed private event honoring Richard Pryor at the Comedy Store (Hollywood, CA) back in the early-mid 90's. I was the official photographer that night. Genuinely a nice man and his talent will be missed.

Is training really needed to ride a Spyder?

I learned alot in the Can Am training which was $49 for me. That, and constant parking lot training for the first couple of months helped as well.

Question for the seasoned one-up road warriors. Sway Bars

I had my swaybar and end links changed about a month ago. Even taking it down the street on straightaways and the Spyder feels more planted to the road, has greatly reduced the lean on even freeway curves and passing semis don't even phase the bike now. For spirited canyon carving, I would still...

What are the major differences- F3 vs F3-S?

Exactly. Add that up too and that would be less than F3S.

What are the major differences- F3 vs F3-S?

I did a cost comparison when I bought my base F3. At the time was $3k difference. I like the basic screen of the base F3, the shocks will eventually get tossed anyway for aftermarket so the only real items I would be getting for the $3k difference would be back seat ($299) and 10hp more. That...

What are the major differences- F3 vs F3-S?

The "tune" is 10hp more and it revs at 500rpm more than the base F3. At least that was the case on the 21 version. Plus the F3s had a different rear sprocket.

Is there a new discount code for Pedal Commander?

FYI, Slingmods is the SOLE official source for the Pedal Commander for the Spyder. I am local to Slingmods AND Pedal Commander and this is what they told me. I don't personally own one yet and I am waiting till they go on sale.

Recommendations for a 2 up Shock

My shop relatively local to me has tried to work with M2 but M2 tends to make their Spyder shocks a bit too long and as such, he doesn't recommend them. He recommends RaceTech first then Elka, due to where they sourse their seals. (reason why they tend to leak). I haven't personally gone down...

Dealer service calls for new rear tire & brake pads - does this sound right?

I was instructed to clean my brake dust out every once in awhile to avoid wearing them out sooner.

Interesting news out of BRP on electrification.

Thanks. So, from what the article showed the fastest chargers are for Tesla only (15 min or so charge) and the station ones can charge between an hour and 11 hours. Not sure I could wait that long to charge even if gas is $6. a gallon here.

Interesting news out of BRP on electrification.

Side question of sorts. Do all these EV's take the same plug in or are they all proprietary? If you buy a Tesla and want home charging and down the road get BRP EV, are we all going to have a bank of chargers in the garage??

    2018 F3L Radiators at 10,086 Miles

I see. Is taking the grill off pretty easy? I'm a new owner and haven't had to tackle that yet. Of course we don't have the small dog sized bugs here in CA either. ;)
