• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Lithium battery

:agree: They claim 4-5 year usage coupled with a 2 year warranty (pretty standard). As far as exploding... "Green battery?" Now I've heard it all. :)

    Lithium battery

:hun: Only 2 references to a "smart charger" on the entire web site and both were in the context of being one of several options to recharging the thing. Without getting into an engineering discussion about the technology maybe looking at this from the perspective of maybe it could be a...

My visit to the spyder stealership

Atonic, I tried to help but you chose to ignore my offer. Just doesn't seem like you're getting much satisfaction by just coming back to complain. :dontknow: Hope everything works out for you.

    OSR Spyder "Flash Mob" 7/3/11

A "flash mob" by design is going to be chaotic so when people show up, just try to park close to another Spyder so everyone gets in the shot. Depending on how many do show...we may attempt to put the Spyders into some sort of formation that makes sense. :dontknow: We are working on a way to...

Spyder Tech School part 1 "full version"

These posts about the Tech School experience are by FAR the best posts I've seen on your forum Lamont. If you don't sticky them both I'd be shocked. Thank you very much for sharing. Now, where can I sign up for the next class. :D

    Almost became a statistic yesterday!

No intention at all to "one up" Rando's story...darn glad your alive. 2 weeks ago I was leisurely travelling down a split 4 lane highway (the National road) at posted speed 55 MPH. Had a set of cars about 1000 yds behind me so was pretty much riding alone. Saw this Cadillac getting...

    RS rear fender brackets

I saw the official service bulletin hot off the presses with my own eyes at a local dealership. It's legit...feel free to disseminate as needed. :D Service bulletin...no need to rush to the dealership like the DPS recall. Just the next time service is performed...that should be one of the...

    OSR Consolidated Ride List?

Yes, this information has been up on our club website for months. :D Details of each ride are located there, but this is the latest consolidate list. We have a nice photographic ride scheduled this weekend to take in all the covered bridges in NE Oh. Trying something new this time. Several...

    RS rear fender brackets

Been an update... BRP is about to issue a service bulletin on this rear fender bracket situation. # 200-2011-7 Torque specks are fairly high for the size of the bolts. Somewhere in the mid 60's lbs. Generally the problem is being attributed to improper installation. :dontknow: Bulletin is...

    Teddy's New Adventures

That is one confident vet. I'd think it would be obvious after surgery like that to keep an eye on Teddy until he heals a little. Like you said...Teddy picking at it is the worst. Sounds like the cone of shame may be in his future. Still, with the mohawk I don't think any others dogs will...

How is the car tire vs bike tire working out?

Negative on the fender. I would have never known myself without someone riding behind me during a storm. It soaked them. :roflblack:

How is the car tire vs bike tire working out?

Kumho Ecsta AST on the back running 45 PSI. 10K and counting. Only odd thing is in the heavy rain the rooster tail goes back n forth. Imagine a firefighter hosing down a burning building. Back n forth...rinse, repeat. Due to tread pattern I imagine. Better traction in snow and ice than...

    Oil Dip Stick

First the SM takes 4 and 1/2 quarts on a change, running over full is not recommended and in my experience if you replace your air filter with the Evoluzione racing air filter you're greatly reduce blowby in the air box. :D
