• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Do you own another motorcycle besides your Spyder?

Just sold my Honda CTX700 about 3 months ago. I love riding 2 wheels. Arthritis is not a persons best friend. BTW Ron, I have had two roadstars at different time. 1 Carb 1 not. Bought a carb tuning tool that worked great on the carbed roadstar.

Reservations made for next year's Deadwood Three Wheel Rally!

I'd love to. Wife don't ride. Sons don't ride. Just me. If I towed my spyder the wife would come. We were just over in that area a couple months ago coming back from a trip to the mid west. I would have to find something for her to do for 3-5 days while I ride. We'll see.

    Thankyou veterans!

One retired and tired Navy guy, I also salute all you vets out there. Thanks and don't forget. Is there a box to check or a way to ID vets other than our signature? Just a thought.

Got Poor radio reception? My Antenna wasn't connected; you might want to check yours!

Mine was the same way. Only way I found out is I twisted the antenna and it moved in a way I didn't like. It took me about 3 tries to line the ring up and get the right angle to screw the antenna in properly. Now it works.

Automated mailed ticket.... But I wasn't there!

We traveled a couple months ago thru Ill and Wis using 94 & 294. No toll boths. No mention that I saw about having only 10 days to pay OR. So I called them and said I needed to pay tolls. I also ask how anyone that is out of state would know there is such a short timeframe. Her response...

48 States in 27 Days at Age 84

Nice trip. BTW, Las Vegas strip is surrounded by vast desert once you leave the city. Believe me, it is desert around sin city. I know, I live 45 miles from the strip. Where is your next stop? Stay safe.

Will Using 87 Octane impact performance?

Heck, I've done that forever but didn't know it was called West Texas tune. I'm from Michigan originally and just called it blowing out the carbon and hoping not to break Dad's car doing it.

I went to His website and it stated that I could Pre-order. Did you get yours immediately?

Will Using 87 Octane impact performance?

Ron, you didn't miss a thing. I thought maybe you were a mind reader and could tell that I had an SE6. I will add that to my signature.

Will Using 87 Octane impact performance?

Yes. I found it kind of weird. I had a lot of different vehicles over the years. Had a 1982 Nissan 280ZX that would ping on reg but not mid grade. Had cars that pinged especially when lugged. The only thing with my very limited mechanical skills is maybe the idle is set to low at 900.

Will Using 87 Octane impact performance?

Ron, How could I lug the engine from a start? I would understand if it was a manual shift, but an automatic? Not enough throttle at launching?

So, not a Spyder but HOLY *****...

Holy moly!! That is one mad off animal.

Will Using 87 Octane impact performance?

Ron, I agree about the ping. When this tank full of mid grade runs out I will run 87 again. We'll see. I will try to video it with sound IF what I think is a ping comes back.

Will Using 87 Octane impact performance?

I think using mid grade makes my ride zippier. At least I want to believe that. I do know that I haven't had the ping in 3 tanks now. I will run 87 for about 3 tanks just to see IF there is a difference. I know know the seat of the pants is just a feeling but pinging is a sound that is real.

Will Using 87 Octane impact performance?

Where I live I have climb mountains just to get out of the valley (Pahrump Nv), therefore I believe it mpg and performance may be different than flat riding. I also live at 2700 ft above sea level. Just saying.

Do Oil Filters deteriorate over time? OK to use after 2-4 years of storage?

I understand why they are on there but I have left them off on 3 spyders with on consequences. Thanks Ron.

Do Oil Filters deteriorate over time? OK to use after 2-4 years of storage?

2dogs, they were bought by the original owner when he bought the spyder. Seeing as though they don't put mfgr date on them, I am assuming 2-4 yrs old. My garage is somewhat temp controlled. During our beautiful summers I run a swamp cooler. At least it ain't 125.

Do Oil Filters deteriorate over time? OK to use after 2-4 years of storage?

Changed the oil today. Old filter pretty dark. I forgot to put the plastic panel back on the bottom. I don't believe it is a big deal.
