• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    F3S and the Wind

Good deal. But do we have to address you as "Mr. Ambassador" now?

Don't leave you frunk open when stopped.

I know that too. ;) I wasn't being chivalrous – I was just teasing Bob about which "basket of people" he belongs in , according to a recent quote from a particular presidential candidate. :) But since I was born in an age when chivalry was a good thing, I'll come to your defense anytime...

    This is just wrong

This is a silly argument. That's why I gave you the double wink. ;);) They're ALL fun. Which Spyder is "more fun" is strictly subjective, regardless of the number of miles you've ridden on any one of them. You simply cannot say categorically that a 1330 is "more fun" then a 998, ...or...

    This is just wrong

Well, now THAT (and the fuel economy) may be valid reasons for trading up to a 1330 F3. But not because it is "more fun". ;);)

    This is just wrong

Hmmm I was with you ALL they way up until you said "...and more fun as well". We're all entitled to our opinion, but in my OWN humble opinion. no Spyder can be more fun to ride than a high revving V-twin ST. :p Too bad it's had such a short life in the Spyder family. If I had a 2015 ST...

    Big Thank You to Netzley

:agree:  ...and the bonus you get when you go to visit them is that they are located in the Catskill's, which is such a great place tor ride. I actually look forward to needing my next tire.

Three Seat Comparisons for a Tall Guy

I'm looking forward to your report on the new RDL seat when you've had a few miles on it. I know it will be an extensive and unbiased report.

    Wide brake pedal installed

:agree: While many have installed them, I never persoanlly felt the need for the larger brake pedal on the RT. However, given my experience from several F3 rides, I believe I would install one if I owned an F3. And your's certainly does look nice on there.

    LOVE MY KENDA's

Yes I believe that would be true on a motorcycle with two motorcycle wheels. Not so much on a Spyder with three automotive style wheels.

RT fire from FB post in Memphis

I believe that the NHTSA investigation did not include the 2014 models - only 2013 and earlier. I think this particular journalist had that wrong. However, although 2013 models did have the highest incidents if fires cited, there were a number of fires listed for RT's earlier than 2013...

Well, THAT wasn't very politically correct. Welcome to the "basket of despicable people." DISCLAIMER... That was a joke. NOT a political statement.

    Fobo

They are very lightweight and won't have much effect on wheel balance. They weigh 10 grams each - or about one third of an ounce.

    LOVE MY KENDA's

Mike is correct. There is no reason to match brands for the front and rear tires on a Spyder. Even with all OEM tires, the front and rear will react quite differently to road conditions because the size & width of the tires are so different. Equally relevant is the fact that the front tires...

Three Seat Comparisons for a Tall Guy

I cannot think of any way that a driver backrest would impede safety. Do you have a specific concern?

Closest Campground to Valcourt now accepting reservations if your going to the 10th

Is this the only campground within a reasonable distance from Valcourt that could take a 40' motorhome? Or are there others to choose from?

Bob Denman can I join you?

Just 'cause you have the coolest RS on the planet, doesn't necessarily mean they are "the best". :p

Bob Denman can I join you?

My advice... If you are serious about owning two Spyders, I'd see if you can take a test ride on that ST before giving up on it - especially since you already own an F3. It's quite a different machine than the F3, and you may find that you like it a lot. If I were inclined to own two Spyders...

Three Seat Comparisons for a Tall Guy

Interesting discussion on comfort, Bob. As I outlined in the post above, I've stumbled upon all of the "fixes" you came up with and for the same reasons - except for the tri-axis handlebars. Fortunately, the OEM bars have always seemed just right for me. One additional piece that I added, that...
