• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BajaRon Swaybar for 2015 RT limited

I can personally attest to what Ron said about the sway bar and springs "working in harmony" to really improve the ride. I'm a big guy too and I knew right away that I needed the beefier sway bar. And it made a significant difference in the turns. You don't have to lean your body nearly so...

NEW JUST OUT TODAY FROM SENA

Wow, Another Sena Upgrade! Sena is really whipping out the upgrades. Looks like the 30K is the new 20S with much enhanced group networking and also enhanced audio multitasking. But the 20S was the newest and best thing not that many months ago. However, maybe this will work better...

LED Lighting, Is too much too much?

Looks good, Bob. I especially like your amber fender lighting. And those bump skid LED's look bright enough to attract some attention in the daytime. HERE is what the front of my Spyder with DRL's looks like in the bright sunlight, and at dusk.

    Service

I have the Revco pegs. There is no reason to remove them to get any panels off. However, if they felt the need , they could have just removed the top arm extension. There is never ANY reason to remove the bottom bracket from the floorboard.

LED Lighting, Is too much too much?

I would think and hope that MOST Spyder and motorcycle riders run with high beams on all the time, regardless of some of the comments posted here on the forum from time to time. It makes sense from a safety perspective. I always have both high beams and fog lights on. The two...

LED Lighting, Is too much too much?

Just Use Common Sense I also agree with those sentiments. Here is my take on the subject of extra lights, FWIW. Some other folks will definately disagree... Legality - Official DMV rules do vary from state to state. I wouldn't worry about ANY of them. As long as you use common sense, like...

    New to the Site

In case you want to contact BRP... I'm glad Zip found you a link to a thread in the "Enabled SpyderLovers" section that addresses moving the right hand fly-by-wire control. Your dealer, depending on which dealer you talk to, is likely NOT the best source of information. Many dealers are...

    Thinking Outside The Box

So it did. Thanks. I didn't even think about what that thing was at the time. I guess I was too distracted by all that was going on INSIDE the pub - not to mention the poor guy sitting at home on the throne.

    Thinking Outside The Box

I've read tons of threads on this forum since joining, and I've forgotten what many of them were about. But THAT thread was one of the more memorable ones. It had snowmobiles with wheels, Spyders with skis, and it even had a love song in it about diarrhea. :sour: (I was never quite sure how...

Is this bike easier for women to ride?

Yep. I've never ridden a snowmobile, but I did find out, by trial and error, that the method you just described is what allows you to hammer the twisties. And just like on two wheels, setting your line through the curve is the most important part. As for Spyders being easier to...

    Road Test

There are practice skills exercises in the owners manual. I'd say that if she can master those, she can pass the test with ease.

    Thinking Outside The Box

Well it IS a BRP, so you can't say that it's a Spyder "knock-off". It was either the very first Spyder prototype, or a Ski-doo owned by some guy who had to move down south and missed riding his sled. :)

The now Classic and the new.....

I dunno. Looking at those two bikes, it might be a toss-up as to which one is nicer.

    Outfarkle THIS!!!

Wow!! Dang! I wonder if the BRP engineers at the Valcourt Product Development Centre know about this guy?? :dontknow: All I can say is that I certainly am glad that I never traded in my 2013 RT for a newer one with the 1330 engine! I'm holding out for this new model with the anti-gravity...

Happy Birthday to Our Eponymous Member

That's an editing tool that enables you to draft a message in "source mode" rather than "WYSIWYG mode". It wouldn't effect how a user sees someone else's message. I think what cphilipsea1 is seeing is a Tapatalk issue, but I can't be sure, since I don't use Tapatalk. There may be a setting...

Happy Birthday to Our Eponymous Member

It's the text name of this smilie: :roflblack: In case you don't see it, it's an image of a little guy rolling on the floor and laughing. Smilie text names are automatically converted to images in the forum software. (I don't think you can turn that off in settings.) But I've never used...

    So I had a flat

:D FWIW, It's more comfortable too. The very first long ride I took, after installing my gel pad, I threw the AirHawk R in the trunk "just in case". Ever since then, the AirHawk has stayed home.

Starting The Farkling - How Do I...

There is a forum section for DIY instructions. A search on "panel removal" there will yield at least two videos on panel removal for the RT. Also Lamont has a lot of videos on his Lamonster Garage site.
