• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Get Maintenance Service Now Or Wait Until Next Year?

I had the most recent routine service done on my 2016 F3T on 10/31/18 (Odometer was 11115 at that time) and put it away for the winter soon after. Now it's almost a year later and my odometer is 17220. I know that it's not "due" for the next service until about 20415 (which is the recommended...

Anyone Ride While Carrying a Camera?

Besides riding my F3T, I also enjoy landscape photography - especially this time of year as the colors are changing. I would like to be able to ride with my camera in a convenient place so that I can just stop, pull the camera out and take a few shots without having to get off the bike. I'm...

Of Interest to Country Music Fans

I'm not a big country music fan, but a BIG Ken Burns Fan. I watched every minute of this series and thought that it was excellent - music included. It's gotten me to appreciate Country Music (however you wish to define it) much more than I had before watching the series. I'm with ARtraveler...

Can-Am Spyder vs Gold Wing Trike Handling

Besides handling, I feel that a reverse trike like the Spyder is also safer for another reason -- You can see the widest part of the trike when squeezing thru tight spaces. You can't do that with a "traditional" trike.

Recommend a Belt Guard for F3-T?

Thanks for the insights and info, guys. Maybe I'm overthinking things (ie - worrying too much).

Recommend a Belt Guard for F3-T?

The more I ride and randomly explore my general area, the more frequently I encounter dirt roads. I almost always turn around at that point (to protect my F3-T's belt), but feel that I'm missing out on something. So I'd like to get a belt guard. Does BRP offer one or are they only provided...

    Glenn Falls, New York

If you're in the Glens Falls area, you're much nearer the Adirondacks than you are to the Catskills. Lots of good riding around Washington County (farmland) and/or around Great Sacandaga Lake. (To get to Sacandaga, head to Lake Luzerne - then turn right and continue thru the village of...

Way, Way OT: Dealing with a Wasp Infestation? HELP!

I'm going to follow the advice of getting an independent guy. Trouble is that nobody is calling me back (Labor Day). I've been killing a bunch again today (swatting one by one). Lucky that they congregate near the window, wanting to get out. Makes it relatively easy to swat. Lucky that I...

Way, Way OT: Dealing with a Wasp Infestation? HELP!

I was hoping to be able to do something myself to at least take care of the worst of it until the end of the Holiday weekend. All independents in my area seem to be closed until Tuesday. Thanks.

Way, Way OT: Dealing with a Wasp Infestation? HELP!

Long story short -- I have a wasp nest inside the soffit of my home's roof. (Not visible from the outside, but you can see them entering and exiting thru the soffit holes.) From there many (about 30-40 in the last 2 days) have gotten into my bedroom. I THINK that I have cut off their route...

    Tire pressure equalizer ? ....

That product is an interesting idea - but is it really necessary? Just curious - How high a difference in PSI between your two fronts do you tolerate before evening out the 2 tires? I know that perfectly equal is ideal, but who often are they perfectly equal? So how close is good enough for you?

Licensing Requirements for American Riders Touring in Canada?

Can anyone provide any info on what the insurance and licensing requirements are for an American riding thru Canada for a few days? Is an international driver's license required? (And how does that get the motorcycle endorsement)? What about insurance? If I have my car covered by Insurance...

MSM supplement suggested by Jeriatric, early results:

Agree 100%. I'm the OP of the hand/wrist pain thread. I've now been on the MSM for about 3 weeks (2000 mg at breakfast and 2000mg again at dinner). While it's not a complete solution for me, I can say that the pain in my fingers and wrists is substantially reduced. Now, if only I could find...

    Wide Angle Mirrors for F3-T?

I have some difficulty turning my head far enough to check traffic at 45 degree (or so) intersections. Awhile back I remember seeing wide-angle mirrors on an F3 but don't remember who sells them. As I recall, they just get stuck onto the OEM mirrors with adhesive and look just like the OEM...

Another great ride in upstate NY

I'd be interested in joining you on a ride, but I'm not on Facebook (and not interested in joining). What general area(s) do you ride in? Do you ever ride north of Albany?
