• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Testing testing - Tackform mount

I ordered my Tackform holder yesterday. But why I enjoyed the video was the guy has the same phone I do - the overly large LG G6 dual screen - now I know it will fit in the holder. But I did buy an Otterbox so I could pull out the phone individually and use it on the bike as well.

Too old? Trying to be realiistic.

The thing that makes me respond to your post was my Dad; who was an avid biker until he had a vicious accident in the mid 80's which pretty much ended his riding career. He tried a couple more times but the body could not handle the weight or requirements. After my Mom and Dad moved to Nevada in...

Gasoline question - will Regular harm the Spyder?

If $1,500 difference over a 100,000 mile term is a deal breaker - it's your bike and your choice - and perhaps you're 100% correct. But... Premium fuel runs cleaner, provides better mileage, provides a HP increase and is the recommended fuel. At 1.5 cents per mile cost difference (using your 50...

Gasoline question - will Regular harm the Spyder?

I'm a bottom line type guy. Premium fuel generally runs about 10 cents a gallon over midgrade and 15 - 20 over the base. Lets say the Spyder gets 30 miles per gallon. Over 100,000 miles - you will burn 3333 1/3 gallons of fuel. Premium will cost you an additional $333 to $666 over that 100k...

Australia RT mirrors - anyone got part numbers?

Thank you to everyone. I sincerely appreciate the answers and effort. I am a high participating contributor on another forum (cowboy action shooting) and I am always amazed at the amount of work and research forum users will do on behalf of a stranger who just happens to have a common...

Australia RT mirrors - anyone got part numbers?

I have looked at those and am considering all options - but a BRP factory mirror housing with an actually inset and built for turn signal unit still appeals to me more than a piece attached by sticky tape. But admittedly - sticky tape and velcro seem to be the method of choice for 90% of the...

Australia RT mirrors - anyone got part numbers?

I was watching a You Tube video about "differences" between US Spyders and the rest of the world. One point he made while showing his 2020 RT was Australia requires the turn signals be changed and his were located in the mirror assembly. I liked that ALOT. He says this modification is done by...

    Things continue to cost more!

I used to work with a pawn chain in our firearms and vehicle division. So I was brought into discussions quite often of the "how much is this worth?" type. I felt really bad telling folks that their $20k custom paint job and $10k wheels and tires or $10k custom interior didnt add a...

    Santa is Coming

Santa, I was framed. Think he will buy that? Oh well, to everyone a safe and blessed Christmas and New Year. And prayers that 2022 is better than 2021.

    RT Mirrors - Options?

I noticed something when I drove the RT Spyder before dropping my deposit - I am not a fan of the mirrors. They seem to have a small field of view (which I saw there are convex stick on "fixes" for that), but they also seemed very low. In the upright seating position of the RT - the mirrors are...

    Things continue to cost more!

Everything costs too much - but I am not going to complain about my Spyder. My pre ordered 2022 RT Limited with armrests and back rest was less than what some dealers are asking for used 2020 and 2021 models with minimal addons. Even going thru the for sale by owner forum - after shipping...

Stuff for my new RT? Your input is needed.

Bought helmets yesterday. Cycle Gear was having a buy 1, get 2nd half off on Sidici helmets. Hard to turn down saving nearly $200 on a pair of helmets. So everything is getting closer - just hard to wait for my toy to arrive.

Stuff for my new RT? Your input is needed.

Well, I pulled the trigger on ordering my new 2022 RT Limited in Petrol Blue YAYYYY! But it will not be available to me for a couple months at best and 4 or 5 months at worst. We added the BRP armrests and drivers backrest in the initial sale. So in the meantime - I am watching every accessory...

    Spyder RT Rentals - Where?

Well..... I got tired of waiting and I am a little bit impetuous; so I am pulling the trigger and simply putting my deposit down on a 2022 RT Limited in Petrol Blue. What better way to commit than jump in with both feet. The Spyders seems to be holding their value well enough that this wont be...

    Spyder RT Rentals - Where?

Phoenix is very convenient and I won't even have to use any airline miles. 3.5 hours and a McDonalds drive thru. And IF the wife hates it - since our car will be there - we can always cut the ride short and have alternate transportation. Something I was concerned about if we had flown in...

    Spyder RT Rentals - Where?

I have ridden quads, snowmobiles and two wheels - on and off road. I didn't want to argue with anyone - but it surely doesn't seem like a Spyder should be some major significant challenge. A Ford F150 drives differently than a Corvette. A Goldwing rides differently than a GXR. And I assume a...

    Spyder RT Rentals - Where?

Hi everyone - I rode 2 wheels for a number of years until too many friends got hurt and I got older and "nervous". Las Vegas, NV traffic doesn't help any to that point either. But I miss the wind in the face. This all brings me to the Spyder and more specifically the RT - but I really want...

First Post - How many miles is TOO many?

Thank you Smile. I considered the Ryker; but had the same concerns that the smaller bike would be more challenging/ fatiguing on road trips AND that is major component of my purchase - giving her and I another Dad & Daughter activity to do together before she realizes how lame I actually am. We...
