• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3-T SE transmission metallic thrashing noise

Would be something I would check as well. Same thing both of mine did. Backing off the throttle took the tension off the belt and allowed the front sprocket to chatter. Applying throttle made the noise go away......well until the front sprocket gave up anyway.CJ JAX

Install Lamonster's Fog Light Kit without panel gap (F3, F3-S, F3-T)

Nice job and great install video! I started to go down the same road shortly after BRP started selling the fog lights. I opted to make my own lights (didn't have the Lamont option back then). I didn't want the gap and was going to order a spare set just in case I didn't like the way it turned...

58K interval I could live with. Every 8K not so much. :( Going well since the last change but only 2.5K so far. CJ JAX

    F3t saddlebags on F3s.

Black is all that Matazu imports. The manufacturer in China has several other colors. I ordered mine directly as samples. $100 for the bags and $150 for DHL shipping. Spyderpops had a nice leather set he was selling that used the Easy brackets at one time. CJ JAX

    F3t saddlebags on F3s.

What you get for what it would cost wouldn't be worth it in my opinion. The rear part of the frame is different. I looked at it at one time. it might bolt up with a little work. All the parts and body panels you would need would probably run you more than some of the aftermarket options. Then...

    F3s Footboard Mod

Another project moved to the completed folder. Just added footboards to my F3s. Wanted something that would let me adjust the angle, wanted something larger than a peg but smaller than current offerings, wanted something affordable. Using Kyuryakyn footboards and footpeg adapters from Lamonster...

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

You keep pointing back to "100,000+" Spyders as your reference when all we are discussing is the F3 model line which represents a small percentage of the overall sales. Only a couple model years in relation to the 10 years Spyders have been sold. Yes it has happened on a couple of recent RT...

Guess you get to add yourself to the negligible number of Spyders suffering from this over hyped failure. ;) CJ JAX

Let Me Tell You A Story....

Ron was kind and helped me with a noise a while back that I experienced after installing his bar on my F3. I was getting a rattle. I checked, tightened, applied some lube, and checked again. I was sure the links which seemed to have VERY easy movement were the cause. We traded several emails and...

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

Went down the serial #, build train of thought after my first failure. Unfortunately the responses I received from people showed a wide range of serial numbers and model years. Mine is a early 2015 F3s SE6 (I think it was the first retail delivery in FL) but we are seeing the issue with 2016's...

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

No problem. I'm sure it is all fake news. I won't be naming people or technicians that gave me information. It was given in confidence and someone else with the issue has a beef with BRP so what i was given won't be made public by me. Wobbly idler is now fake news as well? Guess you missed the...

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

Got to love your use of numbers. I never did and I don't recall anyone else saying this was a massive issue. Your "over 100,000 sold Spyders.....less then 1%" isn't really accurate since we are talking F3 series only (although there has been one RT). As for the "2 or 3" with an issue that is...

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

170lbs, single rider, no trailer, SE6. I still don't think we have hit upon a cause. If it was belt tension I would expect to see a lot more and most would be running factory spec. If it was heat related, SO Cal, TX, AZ, FL, NM would have the majority but they are scattered around the country...

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

It did nothing in my case. I wondered the same thing and had it installed after the first failure. Still it happened again. Both failures about 8K apart. CJ JAX

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

I agree with some but not all or that. Probably won't ever be a recall and nobody has an exact reason or fix yet so no service bulletin until they do. Not being a safety issue I'm not so sure. I can think of several instances where a failure could be catastrophic. Crossing a heavily traveled...

    F3 Front Sprocket Inspection

Hopefully this won't be the story that never ends. No doubt increasing numbers and repeated failures will cause a hit to resale (okay even more than we have already taken). I am a dual repeater. Each failure after about 8,000 miles and in both cases the bolt was still torqued tight. I had looked...

who should i finance me spyder with?

The internet is your friend. I did a search for a previous purchase and found that AAA had the best rate through a credit union not in my area. I paid for the AAA membership and was able to get the loan as membership with them made me eligible. Even factoring in one year of membership it was a...
