• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I have a confession...

And no Lucas ("the Prince of Darkness") electrics? What is this world coming to?

    I agree with Lamont

Holy Moly! She's gotta be around 120 years old by now!:yikes: Edited: Just checked the "Dead or Alive" website. I wasn't too far off. She is 92 years old, and still kicking!

    I agree with Lamont

Phyllis Diller? Now there's a blast from the past! I'll bet half the people on this forum have no idea who she was! :D:D:D Bruce

    I agree with Lamont

An Appropriate Name! Kim, having met you at Lamont's barbeque, I have to say "Smylinacha" is a very appropriate name! You have a smile that could power up Albuquerque, so keep on keepin' on! :2thumbs: Bruce

    *SIGH*

Hmm, "denial" is obviously not just a river in Egypt. If you don't believe me or any of the other riders who have experienced this sensation, let me refer you to page 30 of your Spyder Operator's Guide: "Like other on-road vehicles, this vehicle can hydroplane on water (lose traction on a layer...

    *SIGH*

Not sure I completely agree with that statement, Mike. I have put a lot of miles on two wheelers over the years in the rain, and I have never experienced hydroplaning on one, whereas I certainly did have that happen on my way home from Gatlinburg on I-75. Granted, this only seems to occur where...

    On a up note

Hang in there Bob. The long-term forecast for southern Ontario calls for above freezing temps at least until November 11. We still have a few good riding days ahead of us. Who knows? If the snow holds off, we may be able to ride until Christmas this year! Bruce

    *SIGH*

:agree: Yep. 40+ years of riding for me, and I have logged thousands of miles in the rain. I would prefer riding when the weather is nice, but I have never let the rain stop me. Snow is a whole other story, but I have found myself riding (unplanned) in the snow a few times as well...:ohyea:

    I have a confession...

Sorry to see you sold the Spyder, but... ...the ride you picked up is really sweet. I just read a review of the T-Bird a couple of weeks ago and it looks like a great bike, combining new technology with the timeless look of a classic Triumph. My first bikes were Triumphs (old school - Coventry...

Looks like I'll get my RT back on the 29th

:roflblack::agree: Words of wisdom! I have never found a shortage of things "to buy"!

Fall color pics with your Spyder?

I am not surprised to read this. Some of the scariest, most incompetent riders in the world seem to gravitate to the Dragon...:gaah: After seeing a couple of Spyders nearly hit in 2008 by some idiot squid on a sport bike who could not seem to grasp the concept of staying on his side of the road...

Fall color pics with your Spyder?

Beautiful Day Today Took this one today after work in the parking lot. Not great resolution, as it was taken with my Blackberry, but the sky and the tree looked really nice. Bruce

    Storage cover for the Spyder?

Industries 7 I have an Industries 7 outside cover. It fits over my Calsci medium windshield at the front and my Givi V46 top box at the rear. Works very well. Bruce

    Snapping out of my funk

My sympathy. Lamont, I am very sorry to hear about your friend Dennis' medical condition. I pray he can be kept as free of suffering and pain as possible. My thoughts and prayers to Dennis, to you and to his family. Bruce

Looks like I'll get my RT back on the 29th

It will work with an 18-wheeler. That is exactly how we unloaded the demo Spyder that BRP provided to the London Police Service in August. Bruce

    Spyder Windshield Solutions

Yes, I have ridden many miles through the rain with my Calsci shield. I wondered the same thing beforehand, but it turned out to be a non-issue. For some reason, perhaps the shape of the shield itself, very little rain comes through the vent hole. It is an excellent shield. Bruce

    On a positive note

Correct. It was the first update that addressed the DPS issue. The second update fixed the surging/rough running that some were experiencing following update number 1. Bruce
