• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Trailers & warranty

module? First, thanks for all the responses. It's given me more to think about. You've given me some good reasons for giving the Can Am trailer another look. I have been concerned about all the reports of lighting issues with after market trailers. Here are my reasons for looking at a Lumina...

    Trailers & warranty

I see Can Am has on their webpage for the freedom trailer - "The only trailer that maintains the vehicle factory warranty." I know I've read lots of opinions about this on SpyderLovers. My question is has anyone in the U.S. ever had mechanical problem and had the dealer actually say they would...

    Fobo one great company

Batteries? I had wondered about the batteries on these things. How do you replace them and do you have to get the replacements from their company? I was concerned that the battery would go out on a trip and would have to wait for the mail back home to get a replacement.

    Route planning for GPS

Tyre doesn't pass virus checker Yup, I'd like something easier to use than BaseCamp. But I'm not willing to risk my PC when the virus detection software flags Tyre as an infected site.

    Route planning for GPS

Thanks for the link. I tried BaseCamp years ago but found it such a pain that I stuck with Streets & Trips. Guess I'll give BaseCamp a try again and the tips should really help.

Helmet Won't Fit In Side Compartment

Risk acceptance Lots of riders have never gone down but still wear a helmet. Others have had accidents but still do not wear a helmet. It's all about the level of risk in your particular area and which risks you are willing to take. I happen to always wear a helmet and usually lock it or take...

    Saving route traveled with iPhone

What can I use to track my route using an iPhone? If I'm not using a dedicated GPS, what can I use to track where I've been and then download that route to share or keep for my log?

iPad Mini for GPS Route Maps

Navigon I use Navigon on my iPhone because I could download the maps. Too many "out of service" areas to rely on maps that have to update over the air. I've tried several apps but like Navigon because its voice prompts are helpful in the right spots without being intrusive. I have my phone in...

    Route planning for GPS

I know this has been talked about before. I did a search - but what I found was old (in software lifespan time). Looking for recommendations on PC/Mac software to plan routes for later transfer to my Garmin. I use Microsoft Streets & Trips but my version is getting pretty old and you can't...

Going to be a dumb question but . .

An different experience I've used Revilla a bunch and had nothing but good service from them. Sorry to hear your experience was different. But I must say we just bought a new Sedici (their store brand) jacket from Cyclegear and it looks like a good jacket at a great price. We'll see how well...

Any reviews/opinions on the new Can-Am Freedom trailer?

Mini trailer What size do you have? I'm trying to decide on a trailer, too. I'm hoping to do a lot of miles next year when I retire and am thinking about camping along the way.

    Laser Align

Netzley's checked mine for free! I went to Netzley's in NY for a laser alignment and installation of a BajaRon swaybar. I watched them do the alignment on my 2015 RT and it was spot on. When it came time to pay the bill, he said he wasn't charging me for the alignment cause it hadn't needed...

What Should CanAm Have made Stock ?

Same speedo, different countries 200 kph = 120 mph. Just switch to kilometers like the rest of the world and the speedo will display "correctly". Or look at the digital dash.

    Dealer map POI

I must be missing the key word - I sure thought I saw a post in the last six months where someone had a downloadable set of POIs for Syder dealers. I can't find it now using the search feature.

Who's got the best helmet? Post a picture of you wearing it!!!

If you want a visor... Check out http://super-visor.com to add a visor to your helmet. I've used them on several different helmets, including an Arai with the vents at the top of the face shield. They adhere well, don't seem to add noise, and I haven't had any problems with it catching in the...

Arggg!! The dreaded wheel scrub! I hate cleaning the wheels! At least with a Spyder I don't have to clean off chain gunk any more!
