• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Performance mods or scrap F3-S?

Break in It has been my experience that more modern engines don't break in as quickly as older engines. The new harder materials and coatings make it so the rings don't seat as quickly as they did in the "old days". There are a number of things that I listen to and feel that let me know when...

    Performance mods or scrap F3-S?

My F3 has almost 700 miles to date and while it is not as tight now as it was it still has quite a ways to go before broken in. No it is not a rocket but feels stronger every time I go out for a decent ride so I would have a hard time passing judgement after only 500 miles. And........based on...

    Laser Alignment Bulletin

Yes please come back to Idaho!!! Had it done two years ago when they were up from Las Vegas and now want to get done on my new F3. I am sure Birds of Prey motor sports would welcome you, and also sure there is enough work here to keep you busy.

I should have been a Salesman

Me too........While I was waiting for my ride back to Boise after trading my 2010 RS for an F3 a guy rode in on a bone stock 2012 RS-S and ended up riding out on my tricked out old RS.

    Bad Key?

Rode out to the dealer this mornong to get the new handle bars put on and stopped to get gas on the way home. When I went to start it I got a "bad key error" Took the key out several times and it finally cleared but was wondering if anyone else had had this happen and might know what cases it...

    F3 - Upgraded Swaybar - Anyone?

I had the BajaRon sway bar put on my F3 when I bought it along with the upgraded Fox shocks all around. Can't say how much it improved things since I didn't ride it before but will say it is a cornering beast. I am hitting corners now at speeds I never dreamed of taking on my RS without even...

    Hate it

That would be great. Have a friend that I ride a lot with but the more the merrier. I was on my out to birds of prey to get my new handle bars when all this happened. I have been on the road you mentioned and it is a very nice road. Really hot in Boise today

    Hate it

I do the slow down thing and was just venting today as it just annoys the crap out of me. Like the marbles but probably better have a quick escape route! Any more you have to wonder what the other guy is packing.

    Hate it

Rode out to Caldwell this morning and at least three times these $%#@ heads tail gated me while going through construction zones and in town. One jack @$$ was so close all I could see in the rear view was his grill. Oh by the way just love my new F3.

    F3 Vibration

Somewhere else on here this was brought up and what was thought is that it is an engine vibration at a specific speed when in 6th gear not the belt. When I felt it on mine I down shifted out of 6th gear and the vibration was gone.

    fuel tank ?

Just rode up to Idaho City out of Boise with a friend who has a 2010 RT. Jim used a full tank of fuel and my F3 still had at least 3/4 of a tank.

    F3 finally home

I think it would be possible to have the brake on both sides. All you would need to do is tie the original rod to the part that comes accross. While we were crawling around under it yesterday it looked like you could fairly easily rig a hand brake to the actuator. That is for another time...

    F3 finally home

I have been riding the F3 for a couple of days now and we ran into a small issue with the rod that transfers the lever action from the right side to the left. I found yesterday that when you hit a man hole cover or a big enough bump the belt rubs the rod. I did take some pictures but I don't...

    F3 finally home

    1330 Triple vs 998 Twin

I am not worried nor do I care if it should happen that the RS-S is a bit faster than my F3. I was just commenting on the fact that there does not seem to be any evidence either way. Didn't trade my RS in for the F3 expecting it to be faster. I traded the RS in because of all the things that...

    1330 Triple vs 998 Twin

So what did I miss? I have not seen anything where someone on an F3 went head to head with an RSS or even an RT with the 1330 going against the 998.
