• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    One day I’ll paint the black plastic pieces on mine. A good urethane clear coat is more durable than a plastic finish. Until then I’ll stick with using Aero Shell Flight Jacket Plexicoat.

    Cool. My first big ride was when I bought my RTL from a dealer in the next state. 290 miles. I got about 160 miles into it until my butt went numb so I stopped and topped off the tank. After that I would stand up while riding, at about every 50 miles for about 15-30 seconds...

    I went with the dark on my Hyper Silver 22 RTL. When the black starts looking bad I’ll paint. When chrome goes bad you deal, replace or rechrome.

    Start by raising the seat. See that “pull” on the trim panel, start by removing it. Remove the screws holding the painted panels. Note what screw went where. Pull the painted trim running along the black body side. Then remove the front side trim. Pop the frunk and remove the push rivets along...

    Once you have all the pretty parts removed along with the front foot rest, just remove the fasteners. I believe I watched a video by Lamonster on installing his belt tensioner.

    I have used Kiwi black shoe DYE. Couple of coats and it looks brand new. But… if the plastic has deteriorated to the point it scratches easily best bet is to replace. Trying to rejuvenate old plastic sometimes can be more problem than worth.

    I don’t bother with the radio because commercial radio sucks. I use Spotify or music stored on my phone.

    Black Hills South Dakota Routes

    That Needles ride brings back so many memories. My dad was stationed at Ellsworth 1967-75. Spent many weekends exploring and camping around the Black Hills. Thanks for sharing the video.
