• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Yesterday I was riding

So far it looks good through Saturday... I have a company Xmas party to go to on Saturday, so I'm going to try to get in a ride Thursday or Friday. Heck, Friday the high is supposed to be in the 50's, no heated gear needed!!

    Yesterday I was riding

We got a little here in the Carson Valley too... wanted to take the F3 out but my driveway is a wonderful mix of gravel and ice. I did get a little ride in just after the last storm, once most of the snow was melted off the street. I was surprised at how much warmer it was to ride the F3 as...

    Any suggestions on Keeping Warm?

In our case (and I'm certain it's the same way with the Warmnsafe gear) the gloves/glove liners plug into cords provided on the sleeves of the jacket/jacket liner, and our heated pant liners plug also plug into the jacket liner at the power distribution port. There's only one wire from us to...

    Sirius radio updates

I've never noticed either of my XM radios updating. I have one built into my Tahoe and my ancient and trusty Roady installed on the F3T.

    Escargot

I never liked escargot until making it to France during my Navy career. Never found any Stateside that were as good as the French article but I still like them.

    Any suggestions on Keeping Warm?

For years, my wife and I have used Gerbing's heated jackets, vests, jacket liners, pant liners, and gloves either singly or in combination. Combined with a windproof outer layer (as noted, mesh jackets don't cut it unless you add a windproof outer layer such as a rain jacket), being able to...

    GPS mount picts please

Here's my Zumo 450 on a RAM mount. The mount is under the bottom grip clamp with the ball facing forward and the RAM arm coming up in front of the handlebar. The unit below the GPS is the control panel for my MotoChello audio system; it's also attached to the same handlebar RAM mount as the...

    Guided tours by BRP

I think that for a newbie, it might seem like a low-threat, low-challenge approach to seeing if Spyder touring is for them. Personally, I wouldn't care to take that kind of tour with a group of folks who might never have ridden either a motorcycle or a Spyder. My preference goes to programming...

Spyder Ryde-In Kanab, UT November 30, Dec 1, Dec 2

Pete, sorry to hear that Mother Nature dumped on you! My wife and I want to take a trip to that area, April or May next year sounds pretty much like what we have had in mind.

    Echo modw

I've been using the Eco mode on my F3T just to get used to three wheels vs. two... found out today that it doesn't do much for wheelspin on a wet roadway at low speed. Okay, I found out on purpose - :D but I think it's time to turn it off. I agree with it being a waste of a button position.

    Northern Nevada Spyder Ryders

Recently picked up a 2017 F3T, I'm in Minden. Looks like the season is pretty much over but maybe we'll get lucky a day here, a day there.

    Line out Audio / F3

Roger that Bob, and thank you! My Galaxy takes a 2 amp charger so it probably would not be a good idea to use the radio's cable for that. Might just remove it in that case.

    Line out Audio / F3

Rick, here's a view from the rear of the F3T looking forward. The radio main unit is on the left. The connection that the BT cable plugs into is the one on the right rear of the main unit, indicated by the red arrow. On yours, if you haven't used the connection for anything else, there will...

    Line out Audio / F3

Rattlebars, sorry to hear that! My info was aimed more towards the OP, you certainly do have a quite different problem. I'm not the best help on that... despite being a former Navy Reactor Operator, me and electrons don't always get along. Seems to me like you're on the right track if...

    Line out Audio / F3

If it helps after two months, I have a possible encouraging answer. There is a line out available on my 2017 F3T, it requires the same cable that feeds audio to the the Bluetooth audio transmitter (same as the one offered by Motorcycle Dave on this forum). Dave was kind enough to sell me a...
