• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Gas Prices in California

Saw a program on this a wee while ago and the producers came to the conclusion that there is/was no gas shortage....the majority of refined gasoline was going for "export" where the oil companies could make even more profits.

    Horsepower

I agree. Was watching the Isle of Man TT reces this evening and they broadcast the Sidecar race and guess what.......the power plant for the winning rig was a stock Kawasaki 600 pushing about 140 HP. Spyder, as it is, is plenty,

    V8 Spyder

Wonder if one could fit the Superbike 1100 Triumph Triple in the frame. Love to see a photoshop of that.

    Electrical conundrum.

Oh God......fish and chips....haven't had that in too bloody many years.....fish and four pennorth was a great meal...especially with News of the World wrappin'. I used to collect my street's newspapers and take them to the chippee at the corner....Middlesbrough, Bedford, Poole. Good memories.

    Yet another electrical question

I'm installing (trying) a set of ESI puk lights and the instructions call for finding a connection for the running lights on the fenders. Their system has a switch and obtains its power by intercepting the circuit to the fender running lights. That connection they indicate as being close to...

    Yet another electrical question

I was reading an earlier post about an electrical problem in the vicinity of the front wheels. I have tried to find the appropriate connector for small running lights "inboard of the suspension wishbone" as commanded by the insructions. I've had all the tupperware off in an effort to locate...

how much wind, is too much wind

Great advice in all these replies. I was never a lover of slab rydin' on a two wheeler but since I've been aboard the Spyder I quite enjoy it. You'll soon find out what vehicles create the most turbulence...18 wheelers and vans I find the worst. Also remember that nearly all vans and big SUV's...

The Start Of The NASCAR Season...

Well, boring race so far but it only took JJ 32 laps to lap her and at 64+ he's ready to do it again. What a great business model they're working to....a total waste of fuel, time and energy.

Correct way to break-in new Spyder

Didn't baby mine at all and almost 10K later getting 150miles on just over 4 gallons, very minimal oil consumption (about half a quart on 2K miles) and no problems (2010 RS SM). Don't thrash it but give it a good workout.

Thought this was a Spyder from a distance...wrong..

Do Taurus riders do the same to us as we to riders of these machines. Really, guys, lest we forget, we had great times on our 250's didn't we. I remember when the Honda Dream 250 SS came on the market back in England when I was riding a Tiger 90 350 cc. "Piece of cheap Japanese junk" folk were...

The Start Of The NASCAR Season...

Ninth and a clean car at the end really ain't that bad. As far as tonight....200 more HP and higher speeds....don't expect too much....

How many of you would buy a new RTS right now, if it came out with a bigger engine?

No to each offering with one caveat...not a larger engine but maybe a nice three cylinder. I rode Triumph Tridents for years and I loved the power delivery and smoothness of the engine.

The Start Of The NASCAR Season...

Sorry Bruiser...Marcus is from Tasmania not New Zealand...no Kiwi title for him. Of course Danica didn't make it out of turn one....but it is fun to listen to the announcers spin...they go ahead and hype her all they can and then comes the screw up. Just like the Olympics where they were telling...
