• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2 Newbie Questions

I find that riding on a non concrete road that has a slight hump in the middle of the lane causes the trike to wander a bit. This would be on a road that has a bit of car tire wear in the car tire tracks making them a bit lower than the middle of the lane. I am assuming this is just the nature...

Checking the coolant on a brand new Spyder

Sounds like a good idea I'm trying this as soon as I get home. I tried all of the other suggestions and still can't really tell. Thanks.

I broke in my new Spyder this weekend......

Straight from the horse's mouth Bob and AK - I contacted BRP on the question of the mileage of the first checkup on the '14 RT. Here is what they sent me: Thank you for contacting BRP. I will say that it is possible that your dealer was confused, but the normal first service maintenance is...

I broke in my new Spyder this weekend......

Sounds like a good idea Thanks guys. I can see where if the first checkup is different for each motor, it would be easy to get someone's wires crossed on this. Maybe I should PM Lamonster.

I broke in my new Spyder this weekend......

First Checkup FYI - In checking with the service department of my Spyder dealership today, they tell me that they have been given some new directives from BRP and that the 2014 Spyder owners are now needing to come in after 600 miles for their first checkup. I don't know if this is supposed to...

I broke in my new Spyder this weekend......

Brake Pedal Joe - The Tricled people told me that their brake pedal will not work on my RT SE6. I see that you have one on your bike. Do you have non stock floorboards?

Had a problem during the break in mileage

Thanks Chup. Yeah, I didn't think it was the belt drive. I just didn't know if anything else is belt driven around the motor. Brakes were hit pretty hard that day and I did have a faint squeal out of the front right that has not resurfaced. I will get them to check out the codes but these are...

I broke in my new Spyder this weekend......

First Service Hey guys. Now I know where I got the 600 mile service idea from. My wife reminded me. The service department at the dealership told me to bring it back in at 600 miles for it's first service. The service manager was out that day and the shop foreman was the one that told me about...

Had a problem during the break in mileage

I was riding 2 up on a twisty uphill road for about 4 miles. The road was tight enough that only 1st and 2nd gear were being used. The temp on the bike said 107. After a while, I lost power and I really had to add a lot of throttle to make it go because there was no place to pull off. I also...

I broke in my new Spyder this weekend......

Howdy gang. I bought my first Spyder on 6/28/14. It is a 2014 RT LTD in the titanium gray matte finish and I named her Lucky. This weekend I had 4 days off with the 4th of July holiday so I figured that I would ride it out to some property that my wife and I own out in the Texas hill country. I...

Checking the coolant on a brand new Spyder

How in the heck can you tell if your coolant is at the right level? I read the operators manual and I accessed the coolant reservoir but it sure seems like the coolant is either really low or it is the same color as the coolant tank. Maybe the dealerships send them out low? Looks like a funnel...

    Passenger armrests

After a test ride on a 2014 RT-S, my wife gave me the thumbs up on getting a LTD that I had my eye on. She liked the stock back seat pretty much but I think we might go with an Ultimate set up a little later. The one thing that she said that she missed from our Goldwing was her armrests. Does...

    Is the GPS waterproof?

I just picked up my 2014 RT LTD yesterday and today I plan to mount up the GPS and learn how to use it. Can anyone tell me if the stock GPS is waterproof? I would not want to get hit with a rainstorm and get the thing fried.

does anyone have a picture of

Would you say that the vent in the vented windshield actually directs air to you or do you think it is more of an item that controls buffeting or rocking forward and backward due to pressure equalization behind the windshield?
