• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Battery Maintainers - on sale at Napa Oct '21

I just thought I'd put this out there for those who may need a decent battery maintainer. Right now Napa currently has a nice 1.5 amp battery maintainer with battery pigtail on sale for $19.99, I currently have 3 maintainers that I've been using on all my bikes for the last several years. One of...

Is there going to be a Shad saddle bag for LHS of Rykers?

Definitely the best setup that I've seen for quick release/detach luggage for the Ryker.

Is there going to be a Shad saddle bag for LHS of Rykers?

I sent Shad an email asking the same thing a year and a half ago when I purchased the Ryker. They never replied, so I went with something else because I wanted more storage than one case. I also dont care for the look of a single side case.

Ryker Touring Storage and Luggage Options

Some good options and advise above. There's not a lot of OEM options out there other than the Max Mount, Linq Accessory base and top cases offered, and you also have the Shad single side case. Other aftermarket options made to bolt on include the Slingmods 3 piece luggage set, but thats almost...

Need to take off BRP comfort seat...

The tabs on the Comfort seat are hard plastic tabs, compared to the foam tabs that bend easily on the OEM foam seats. Every one of the Comfort seats that I've seen for sale on the FB groups had one of the tabs broken off after removing it from their machines (I've seen 3 this way). I dont...

    Twitchy Ride?

Dont know about normal for the twitchiness to occur at higher speeds, but that seems to be the number one complaint about the Rykers. It can be corrected with Baja Rons sway bar and end links upgrade, also correct tire pressures and shock adjustment. My 2020 was twitchy, but quickly corrected...

    Full Helmet Hate It Riding.

Speaking of helmets, and not Ryker related, imagine if this guy didnt have a helmet on. Expect the unexpected, this just happened yesterday.

One hour riding and my butt is killing me.

I have an Airhawk and a 1/2" gel pad, both offer good relief with the Airhawk doing best. I eventually got the Driver Comfort seat and havent needed either of the seat pads since. The ultimate test for the Comfort Seat will be the 1700 mile trip planned for late October. I'll have the Airhawk...

    Full Helmet Hate It Riding.

I ride with a full face modular helmet, have been for the last 20 years. It just takes time getting use to them, some more so than others. I'm in Florida so I almost always ride with the shield up for air flow and I wear shooter or safety sun glasses for eye protection, the breeze in the helmet...

There Is A New 2022 Rally

I agree, those new wheels are horrid, when I first saw them I thought what heck are they thinking. Everything else with the 22 I like.

    Order A Seat Pad

I have a 1/2" thick gel pad on my Kawasaki that I tried out on the Ryker and it helped, but it was needed on the Kawasaki because that seat felt like I was sitting on a plank. I also have an Airhawk seat pad left over from another bike that I ran on the Ryker for a while, it too was an...

    Break in 200 mile over.

I did my own inspection, and I do it regularly. Things like fluids, brakes, leaks, output shaft seal, wheel nuts and pins, body panels and any loose nut & bolts.

Does your Ryker 900 stay in sport mode?

My 2020 does not, it reverts back. I wish it did stay in the last used mode because that's the mode that I use regularly. When ever I start up, setting the mode has become part of the already longer than necessary starting procedure.

    Ryker VSS Fault Saga

My 2020 defaults back, which I dont like, I'd rather it stay in the mode that I always ride in.

    Ryker VSS Fault Saga

Got it, then I'd follow through with contacting BRP, especially since you dont have an alternative dealership. Dealerships do not want the manufacturers contacting them with customer problems that have not been resolved, once you make that call, that will happen. I feel bad for you for having to...

    Ryker VSS Fault Saga

Definitely call BRP and get them involved, they will get the issue resolved. Dont take this the wrong way, but are you an experienced rider? The reason that I ask is because I'm a member of a couple of Ryker Facebook groups, and I see this same issue all the time over there with new riders. 99...
