• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thinking about buying a Can Am - looking for advice??

Can Am RT is what you need. As far as 998 vs 1330. I have a 2011 RT-S which does everything that I want. My riding buddy has a 2020 RT Ltd which has the 1330 engine. You can find a used Can Am RT 2010-2013 at a very reasonable price (these have the 998 engine with 5 speed transmission)...

    Palindromes; anyone else track them?

Tires... again - any feedback on Kumho Rear, Kenda Kanine Fronts?

Thanks for your informative reply. I feel a little bit better but if I get 20+ thousand on this rear tire I will not complain too bad. Leon

    Here's a Rear tire Bargin!

Being 77 myself I understand exactly what you are saying. One thing I like about getting older is that I worry less about what others think of me and my macho image means nothing. Leon

Tires... again - any feedback on Kumho Rear, Kenda Kanine Fronts?

OK, I just put Kumhos on the rear and I need some good news after all of the comments I have seen. What pressure do you recommend? I am currently running 20 lbs. Leon

Let the work begin... 2015 F3 with a new (used) engine being installed.

Congratulations on a job well done. Beautiful bike and hope you enjoy it for years to come. Just be careful of getting rid of your bags too quickly, you might decide later that you might want them. Leon

    1330 Performance Upgrades

OK, at 77, I guess I am one of these old people we are talking about. But even at a young age, riding in the mud made no sense to me and it still doesn't, but if that rings your bell - go for it. I have ridden bikes since I was 14 years old. My go to bike has always been a BMW - they were...

    Here's a Rear tire Bargin!

I am glad you asked this question. I was wondering myself but thought I would probably look stupid if I asked. Always better to look stupid in a group. :ohyea:

Spyderlovers - Facebook - Or Both?

#1 Spyderlovers forum is what I prefer. Facebook is probably good for local/regional groups.

2011 RS SE5 Won't start/shift to Neutral - anyone have shifter wiring schematics?

I have a 2011 RT-S and had similar problems. My bike did all sort of crazy things. Cranking then running rough and shutting off. All kind of lights lighting up in the dash. My problem boiled down to a shifter arm that was worn. Double check the shifter arm because it is softer metal and...

Chrome or Blacked-out - am I the only one who likes Chrome??

A low blow, but it's funny. :roflblack:

What makes a Spyder's smoother ride vs. Ryker?

I have never ridden a Ryker but have set on one and could tell that I would be cramped etc. Talking about price points I had an accident on my Harley last year and decided that maybe it was time for me to think about 3 wheels. Even though I had said many times that I would never ride a 3...

Chrome or Blacked-out - am I the only one who likes Chrome??

Just curious if I am the only one that likes chrome? I have an older RT, so on some days I daydream about getting a newer model. I have to look at 2014 and up RT's, because of my budget. It appears that about 70-80% are the Dark Edition and if I would bite the bullet even on a used unit, I...

    Which Spyder - Tall Rider

I have an older RT and love it. My riding buddy has ridden goldwings for years. He kept looking at mine and finally went and bought a 2020 RT Limited which he loves. He still has his goldwing but has not ridden it since he purchased the RT. He is probably about 6'3" and he told me that if he...

A small Safety Mod to our 2022 RTL with a big improvement!

i ride an older 2011 RT and it's hard to see blinker in the display during the day. if i had this knob and a brighter blinker light in the display, life would be good.

Anyone else dealing with this sort of Gas Mileage?

Having a 2011 RT-S I just want to let you know that you are hurting my feelings on MPG. But I do enjoy the high RPMs and the fun factor. The biggest problem is having to stop more often in a group riding situation. But usually at least one in the group has to pee at that time so all is good. lol

Are Vredestein Tires Directional? Does Ride-On come in 'bottles per tire'?

I can't say enough good about Ride On. When I first heard about it I thought it was all BS but after trying it I am a believer. I first heard about it from an old school Harley mechanic. I was putting a new tire on my Harley and needed some tire weights, so I called him to see if he had any...
