• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What was your ride before your ryde?

Hmm, Let me think.... 1948 Jawa 250 1965 Honda 65cc Yamaha 175 Enduro Kawasaki 350 Big Horn. Had an accident with this one many years later... 2006 V-Star 1100 Silverado 2009 Triumph Bonneville, still have and still love. 2006 Harley V-Rod Street Rod, still have, but trying to sell. 2012 Spyder...

Gun question. To carry or not to carry.

It like Bruiser was saying.. It's a matter of choice. I got my CCW as soon as it was available in North Carolina. My wife went through the class also. I seldom carry when on the Spyder or motorcycle, but always when in the car. We like to ride in state parks and I don't think NC allows weapons...

    Bike Week Myrtle Beach 2013

Oh Yeah, pretty nice ride. Hopefully we can get to the May run. Now is the time to make plans. I've made several trips to Jacksonville from here and actually while in Myrtle Beach I drove up to Jacksonville to meet up with a guy selling parts for one of my old cars, since it was closer than...

A serious (as serious as I can be anyway) affliction

Yeah Bob.... North Carolina is fine with me. Moved here from Johnson City, NY in 1979, never looked back. Rode 3 days last weekend, including MLK day Monday. I've got to admit.. we're at 28 degrees now with ice covered streets, but the forcast is for mid 60's next week.

    recommend an inexpensive Con-Carry handgun

I have a Keltek 9mm for carrying in the cage. It does have a heavy pull but I've done some spring work and added a pad to the trigger which makes it more tolerable. It's not a target pistol but it will serve it's intended purpose, not trying to hit a bullseye at 25 yards. The wife carries a .38...

    Bike Week Myrtle Beach 2013

I'm thinking there is one in May and one in October. We have a time share at the Yachtsman and usually show up for the last two days of the October run. I would be open to running down for a few days in May also.

So this is what I saw when I got off the plane...

Got to agree it is ugly, but there was a lot of creativity involved in putting it together.

How many miles do you have on your RT?

Just clicked over 2K last weekend. Got my 2012 RT Ltd in August. Maybe more miles this weekend, weather permitting.

    To all the other old 2 wheel riders;

My wife loves to ride but won't pilot a machine with less than 4 wheels. I bought the Spyder for two up riding exclusively. I didn't feel confident on the Harley or the Triumph riding two up. I still have both two wheelers but only for solo riding.

If you own an RT and like get'n on the twisties, do yourself a favor & read this post

I installed mine and the improvement was amazing. Rode a couple hundred miles last weekend. Handling is flat, precise, and feels like a sports car. Best mod so far.

    Thanks Ron..... (Bajaron)

I installed the Bajaron sway bar on my RT a couple weeks ago. We had some good riding weather this weekend in North Carolina so I had an opportunity to do some testing. The sway bar made the Spyder a different machine. Very impressive. It is tight and feels like it's on rails. You've saved me...

    New Fuel Caps

I received the new cap today also. My installation was easier as I already had the seat up with the battery tender on. It will definately get the road test this weekend, sunny with temps in the mid 70"s.

when are the new ST's going to be available

I visited RPM Cycles in Albemarle, NC today. They had an ST in yellow. It is a mid range model, not a limited. They also had a RT in yellow. I sat on the ST, I'm thinking I'm very content with my 2012 RT Ltd. Not overly impressed with the ST.

3 Wheel motorcycle ride through a blizzard

I bought my Triumph Bonneville at Motorcycles of Charlotte, NC. While visiting a few months ago, I checked out a good variety of the Urals that were in stock. The off the wall accessories those things come with is amazing, shovels, gas cans, side car windshield, etc. I had a discussion with one...

    Questions---2012 RT-S SE5

3/4 will fit We are able to store our 3/4 G-Max, face shield down with Cadro Scala Riders attached in the frunk. It holds both medium helmets. You need to try different variations on positioning. The helments also fit in the two side bags. I use velcro loops to hang the helmets on the hooks...

Charlotte area ryders... Meet and greet?

Not too bad for riding this morning We went out to breakfast this morning in Rockwell, a little chilly but by the time we got back on the road at 10:00 it was warming up nicely. We rode up to Morrow Mountain and circled back through Albemarle and stopped in to see Rick and Cheryl at RPM. We...

Charlotte area ryders... Meet and greet?

Is the Punchy's Sunday Breakfast thing still active? Just curious if you folks are still getting together at Punchy's for breakfast on Sunday mornings. It looks like fantastic riding weather this weekend. Paulette and I will be heading out today and could make Punchy's tomorrow morning if...
