• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Mirror Removal

Looking forward to the 2020 model. Hoping BRP made many modifications to the way it is maintained. The near complete disassembly of the bike just to change a light bulb is annoying to say the least.

    Magic mirrors

They are one of the early-to-instal and must-have accessories. Sure beats the factory method for removing the mirrors (pun intended)

1330cc Spyder leaked all the oil out TWICE

The OP needs to find an ex-spurt, also known as a former drip under pressure.

1330cc Spyder leaked all the oil out TWICE

Likely a seal that is not fully failed, but starts to leak once the oil is pushed through the engine. If you pull off the two access covers or look up under the bike from the left side you can see if there is any oil trails to the source of the leak. Bummer about your trip. hope you get it...

ram mount ball for tri axis bars

I did the same thing with an M6 stud through a RAM ball and it was $11 vs. the more expensive options. Been holding on for the last several thousand miles without coming loose.

Review: BRP Connect. With only 10 reviews is it still possible to talk about solace in #?

Are you using an iPhone or Android? I like that auto-unlock setting but don't know if it is available on an iPhone.

2013 RTL with 660 GPS mount need a GPS

The 660 mount should be powered and is likely already wired into the Spyder. So all you need is the 660 Zumo GPS head unit and attache it to the mount. I am using the 590 that I switch between my bikes, but like the options of that unit and didn't feel the need to upgrade. Hope you like the...

    2018 RTL GPS/Accessory 12 VDC Keyed circuit

Thanks for the picture and insight on the plug required. I am still trying to figure out how to get the dashboard to show routes, but only using the iPhone Apple map with BRP connect. Haven't tried any of the 3rd party mapping apps that BRP suggests. That being said, having stand-alone GPS is...

2019 RT-L with Garmin 590 Nav. No nav audio through speakers.

The 590 and 595 IMO are the best GPS for the motorcycle. They serve as a media hub as well and you can connect your phone directly to the unit so you can dial (when stopped of course) and have GPS directions when out of cell or intermittent cell range. Though I did find that 95% of the time I...

2019 RT-L with Garmin 590 Nav. No nav audio through speakers.

The bluetooth uses priority system. On my Cardo Packtalk headsets it prioritizes phones, GPS, intercom, music and it will interrupt in this order as signals come through. if you are playing the radio from the Spyder through your headset, then when the GPS speaks directions, it will play the...

2019 RT-L with Garmin 590 Nav. No nav audio through speakers.

The Garmin 590 has an 3.5mm audio plug on the wiring harness, which you could interface in the frunk (not sure how your dealer routed the cabling and wired it up for power). However, you can also interface the Garmin 590 via Bluetooth to the bike. My phone interfaces to our 2018 via bluetooth...

Suggested tools for long road trip

Good idea to have a Leatherman type multi-tool. I also carry a vehicle mini-airpump. That is the source of air that goes with the tire plugs. You will want to have some type of water bottle as well to keep water with you to drink so you don't get dehydrated.

Clunk When putting into Gear - is it normal, or what?

Glad to read this. I also was concerned with the clunk because it is louder than when I shift into first on my motorcycles. Of course, if anything goes wrong in the first few years, that is what the warranty is for provided we aren't out on a trip.

@ruralgirl, resurrecting an old thread. Where did you get your custom backrest made? We are looking for a similar solution for a petite rider.
