• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need advice on Removing Ryker OEM Comfort Passenger seat... Any tips?

Its a fairly crappy system which can be frustrating to get right. The button can get out of line so you need to look closely at the outer rim as it passess through the max mount. Make sure it isn't hooked up. The seat should slide forward (towards the tank). there is a 15-20mm long locking arms...

MY '21/'22 Production Ryker Fuel pump recall; + some '19-'24 replacements!

My Rally is subject to the recall. The dealer is ordering replacement parts but they won't be available until Feb at the earliest. Thanks for the heads up :-)

    My Ryker Rally Adventure Thread

First time on gravel today. The rally was well at home on the steep uphill twisty climbs. Rally mode made power drifting around corners as easy as twisting the throttle. The suspension was also spot on. It seems the Can am guru's have got this machine pretty well set up out of the box, the bars...

Discussing Throttle-by-wire, throttle response, and Pedal Commander 'improvements'

My comment.... "so....Pedal Commander tells the butterfly to open a third of a blink of an eye earlier than would otherwise be the case." would've been better written... Pedal commander tells the butterfly to open wider than would otherwise be the case? Given your comment.... "Because Pedal...

Coolant Change - how's it done on a Ryker?

As above the repair manual is cheap and almost compulsory for DIY maintenance.

Discussing Throttle-by-wire, throttle response, and Pedal Commander 'improvements'

so....Pedal Commander tells the butterfly to open a third of a blink of an eye earlier than would otherwise be the case. The butterfly has a fixed maximum speed at which it can open but PC allows the command to do its thing 0.035ms earlier? That is, while the throttle is being opened (as fast...

    My Ryker Rally Adventure Thread

Thanks for the comments. I'm not sure risers are the solution as the bars are already quite high compared to the bikes I've ridden, where the bars a noticeably lower for my 6'2" frame. The wrist problem is (I think) the hand grips are at too acute an angle. They aren't in fact too bad of an...

    My Ryker Rally Adventure Thread

Wondering if anyone here has swapped out their handlebars and what you ended up with. My wrists are getting a bit of a hammering pulling the bars around the backroad twisties which abound in NZ. In spite of bar end weights and grip puppies I'm still getting pains.

Thanks Sarah. Fitted the bar end weights yesterday but can't do a test ride atm; my leg has been playing up so have been advised to rest up for a few days. Managed to reuse the stock bolts like you mentioned. Beautiful riding weather at present adding insult to injury :-)

Discussing Throttle-by-wire, throttle response, and Pedal Commander 'improvements'

The logic/science makes perfect sense to me, however, while quick throttle response is important for fast acceleration the CVT is a limiting factor which makes the discussion a little moot for me. A quicker TPS/ECM response can't make up for not being able to drop a cog and dump the...

So I've done my first ride. Came back with me and the Rally in one piece, although the right rear indicator was almost ready to fall off...assemblers hadn't tightened that up too well! Was great to finally get out and enjoy my bike.

Ryker 900 will not start - any recommendations?

Batteries can be fickle things. I've gone a decade with zero battery problems but my late Tiger 800XC went through three in 2years! Just luck of the draw I guess. Great news you've got it running though:ohyea:

Ryker 900 will not start - any recommendations?

My guess would be the battery. I've had trouble on my bikes with batteries that will turn the bike over but wont allow it to start. A load test is the only way to properly check it. If it's below 10.5v under load the battery likely has a dead cell A bad battery can show a false voltage when it...

Yeah that may be where it ends up. I can also get my prothesitist to look at a slightly smaller foot. I do like the protection quality mx boots offer so will make them work somehow.
