• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm in the same boat so Welcome Aboard :2thumbs: Just fitted a stabiliser but haven't been able to test it yet. Will be interesting to hear your findings.

Review: The Can-Am Ryker... A Great Ride!

The brackets were off my old Triumph Tiger. I modified them to fit the Rally, here's some pics of them in development. - - Sling Mods sell a double panier & top box kit, but won't sell the brackets without the cases; as I already had cases, I made my own brackets. I have a build thread...

Review: The Can-Am Ryker... A Great Ride!

Modified my old Tiger XC paniers to fit the Rally. I am ditching the Pelican Cases for soft paniers to save some weight. Also, I fitted a Steering Damper using Ryker mod brackets. Saved a bit of cash buying the Matris damper separately from Aliexpress. I haven't had the chance to test it out...

Review: The Can-Am Ryker... A Great Ride!

Matris Steering Damper used by Ryker Mods... • 16 “active” fully adjustable hydraulic damping options with calibrated holes and micrometric points of resistance and hardness. • “Speed Sensitive” progressive hydraulic damping system. • Piston-rod with PVD TIN (Titanium Nitride) treatment for...

What do you think of the 'New for 2025 - Spyder Canyon'?

The Ryker measurement has been typed incorrectly... 92.6 inches is 2.352m, not 2.532!

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Bought my Rally a Ryker Mod steering damper... I'm sure it will thank me for it.

What do you think of the 'New for 2025 - Spyder Canyon'?

I do like the higher ground clearance, but I don't need that level of tech out in the boonies. My Rally will get me anywhere the Canyon will get to, and it'll do it for less than half the price!

Review: The Can-Am Ryker... A Great Ride!

Agree, manufacturers are quick to use the word 'Rally' but as far as I am aware the only difference between the Ryker Rally and Sport is the formers longer front suspension... otherwise the front ends are spec'd the same. That being said, mechanical maintenance is easier and cheaper than...

Review: The Can-Am Ryker... A Great Ride!

Thanks very much. I understand what you mean by 'Hunt' and wiggling the bars, the problem is at speed on a narrow gravel road being offline for even a second or two can end up less than optimal. On enduro bikes, steering dampener allow you to absorb the hit but keep your line, I'm hoping it...

Review: The Can-Am Ryker... A Great Ride!

Question for @BajaRon... I have a 2023 Rally, and I've found that any amount of cross wind on sealed roads unsettles the steering. I also like riding it on our roughish gravel roads, where hitting ruts and/or potholes easily takes the front end offline and is felt quite hard through the bars...

BRP Abandons New Zealand Regional On Road Customers

All commendable observations however in todays connected world Corporations can and MUST be held to account for their business decisions, particularly when they claim the moral high ground. I have been in touch with several people from BRP and discussions are ongoing, I'm ever the optimist so...

BRP Abandons New Zealand Regional On Road Customers

It is not a question of economic downturn. Every one of the dealers is still in business selling Can Am off-road vehicles. Can Am on-road used the connections they had through Can Am off-road to convince their dealer network to sell on-road vehicles some years ago. Then once the dealers had...

BRP Abandons New Zealand Regional On Road Customers

BRP Customer support got back to me this morning.... They listed 5 dealers near me that could service my bike...great....except they were the very ones they closed down. The phone number they also provided for further contact was discontinued. BRP Company Care not customer care in action.....the...

BRP Abandons New Zealand Regional On Road Customers

I don't buy the on-road v off-road business models... it's all owned by BRP. They could easily allow them to service the vehicles, more so in the case of factory safety recalls, where they are responsible for the failure. This is simply BRP being spiteful to insubordinate dealers, plain and...

BRP Abandons New Zealand Regional On Road Customers

Auckland Wellington Christchurch. From what I was told by a dealer, BRP required them to stock their full range of on road vehicles on their showroom floors. Many could not afford it especially as they don't sell. They were happy to keep servicing for existing customers but BRP cancelled their...

BRP Abandons New Zealand Regional On Road Customers

So popped into my local Can Am dealership today to see about the fuel pump recall only to be told they won't be able to help. Apparently BRP have decided not to support their on-road dealer network outside of our three main centres. On to the blower and got a hold of their customer care centre...

    My Ryker Rally Adventure Thread

Came across some shingle that had spilled onto the road from a stockpile right in the middle of a tight corner on my last ride. Couldn't see it going into the corner; if I was on a bike there is no telling how it might have ended. The Rally never flinched, just rode straight over it. The state...

    My Ryker Rally Adventure Thread

I guess most of the folks saying "to relax and use the throttle rather than push or pull the bars" maybe have power assisted steering on their machines. To be fair, it was a longish ride for me, so my shoulders were out of their comfort zone (as was the rest of my saggy old hide) - it just means...

    My Ryker Rally Adventure Thread

Thanks, we are very fortunate to have lots of beautiful scenery and the backroads to see them in NZ. The USA has always been on my bucket list to ride, and I now have a son in law and daughter living in San Diego, so it might happen! New bars seem to have put paid to the wrist problem: I...
