• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Spyder is suffering from HBS

Thanks for the good tips. With the back tire on the ground the belt tension is over 200. I will back off the tension and see if that helps. I will also adjust the space between the belt in inner flange to at least 2mm. Your analogy of the cause for the howling noise makes a lot of sense...

My Spyder is suffering from HBS

Howling Belt Syndrome... :( I have a 2011 Spyder RT Limited with approx. 14K miles. Last Fall I had the rear tire replaced with an OEM tire. Soon after I started noticing a howling noise coming from the left rear of the bike that starts around 42 MPH, peaks at 45 and disappears again at 47...

Shipping my "new to me" Spyder

We moved from Florida to Springfield, MO last September. I had our 2011 Spyder RTL shipped from Sun City Center to Pitbull Powersports in Springfield via UShip. The total was $750 for an enclosed trailer. The route was approx. 1300 miles. I could have shipped it for less money but I was...

Transport Service - I know I am Going to Get Grief For This

We moved from Florida to Missouri and had our 2011 Spyder RTL and a boat shipped by UShip to our new location. I was very happy with the results and would not hesitate using UShip again.

    RT Air Scoops

I removed the two splash pans a couple years ago. It helped a little but not enough. Hoping the air scoop kit is the answer for my heat problem.

    RT Air Scoops

I have a 2011 RTL that I have to park outside the garage after long rides until the gas smell goes away. This happens when the gas tank heats up on longer rides and boils the gas. I am hoping this air scoop kit may solve my heat buildup problem. If I can't get BRP to supply the kit I'll get...

    Spyderfest Vendors

Some of the vendors have done installs for me in past Spyderfests. I got my Elka shocks and bumpskid installed while at Spyderfest. Lamonster Garage will be open at his Nixa location performing installations of his products. He will also have a booth at vendor village selling their Black...

    Spyderfest events/activities

The KOA has full hook-ups but it's next to railroad tracks and the trains run all night. The only other decent RV park close to Springfield is RV Express RV Park in Marshfield, MO. It is about 23 miles from Pitbull Powersports on I-44 east of Springfield. It's just off I-44 so you'll have...

    Allstate?

I am in Missouri and I have Allstate insurance on my Spyder. It must be determined by state. While I was in Florida Allstate wouldn't cover my RV. But now that I live in Missouri Allstate will cover it.

    2015 RT ???

When I first saw the F3 front end I wasn't sure I liked it much. Now after seeing several new photos it's starting to grow on me. I'm guessing that the F3 front end will eventually migrate to the RT (or whatever the name may be). Maybe as soon as 2016. If so then I may be in the market for a...

    ACS Compressor question

I suppose something could have changed in the calibration settings. So it looks like either calibration or a bad sensor. Ether way I will need the service department fix the problem. Just hope it won't take too long.

    ACS Compressor question

Here is a bit more information. Last evening when I put the bike away in the garage I had the ACS setting at 1 (softest). This morning I lifted the seat and measured the air pressure at the valve to be 65 lbs. This seems to be excessively high. With the bike not running I manually released the...

    ACS Compressor question

When I first got my Spyder the dogbone was disconnected from the sensor so I am familiar with that problem. Do you know if the passenger seat switch affects the ACS position? That is one thing I haven't checked yet.

    ACS Compressor question

I agree that the ACS shouldn't cycle constantly. At least it didn't in the past. There is no leak because even sitting overnight the suspension is still stiff the next morning. It seems once I put it in gear the pump comes on then pumps it up then starts releasing air. This cycle continues while...

    ACS Compressor question

Looks like I actually have a problem. Even on the lowest suspension setting the rear shock has very little travel and rides rough. I may have a defective ACS position sensor. I have the BEST warranty so I guess I's time to make use of it. Hopefully it will be a quick fix.

    ACS Compressor question

I have a 2011 RT Limited. I normally ride with a full helmet but with the much warmer temps here in Florida I have been using my half helmet which allows me to hear more of the bike noises. It seems that when I start the bike the ACS compressor runs for several seconds then as I am riding I...
