• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Sorry but another newb here.

I'm a relative newbie as well, but I am confident that I speak for all here that there is no need to by sorry. I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis. While I can't speak for the RT Limited, I will say the Spyder has been an absolute blast and I think you and your wife are going to really enjoy...

What about what you don't you like about the Spyder?

Not yet. I only have <2000 miles on it and I'm not sure if I just need to get use to it stock or decide if the extra money spent for the sway bar and laser alignment is really worth it

What about what you don't you like about the Spyder?

Why not? What would that have to do with a long trip?

What about what you don't you like about the Spyder?

There are lots of threads on why you LIKE the Spyder, but how 'bout some of the things you don't like or wish they would change, within reason, whether it's doable or not. For me, in no particular order, 1. At, or above highway speeds, the steering is really touchy and it takes alot of...

Roll call: Younger riders or riders with no health issues?

Totally agree. I took the three-wheeled course last month. There were several people who showed up on two wheels and I asked them why would they be there if they already had their motorcycle endorsement and they told me they had a 2w endorsement but that didn't allow them to drive a trike...

Roll call: Younger riders or riders with no health issues?

Meh. Grumble grumble. Who the hell cares?!?!:roflblack:

Roll call: Younger riders or riders with no health issues?

I meant no insult or disrespect to the "older" riders or ones who may not be able to ride two wheels for whatever reason and I apologize if you took it that way. I was just asking how many of you folks chose the Spyder not because of age/physical "restrictions" (note the "). At 49, I...

    Went to the darkside

Are there any special requirements/adjustments when you put on non-OEM tires? Or can you just slap the tires on and go?

Roll call: Younger riders or riders with no health issues?

It seems that the majority of Spyder-ers are relatively older or they have medical issues that makes it difficult to ride two wheels or they are just simply apprehensive on two wheels. I was wondering how many of you have a Spyder "just because". Me? I'm 49 and, thankfully, fully capable of...

i would have never thought this thing could be so much fun

I have never been much of a biker. In my 49 years, I've ridden maybe 50 miles total on two wheels. I've had a passing interest here and there but never really into it for one reason or another. In fact, it was really just a passing interest in the Spyder as well. I always thought they were...

How does the Semi Automatic work?

Hi folks! Just trying to get a better understanding of my Spyder. My driveway is on a slight hill. I like to pull in and when I am leaving, I start her up, put her in 1st gear and then coast backward down the hill and once on the road, I roll on the throttle to go forward. I can easily...

AAA Towing Coverage vs BRP's Under Warranty?

I just checked my GEICO policy. It covers towing and up to one hour of labor at the nearest repair facility. It's an additional $9/year, but comp/collision must be carried. My total insurance premium is $533/yr

    Brake light strobe?

Thanks for the replies. The one I have I bought from Amazon. It's a small rectangle box with one black and one red wire on two ends. Simple install, connect the red to the brake light wire(s) and black to ground. Thing is, I cannot figure out what wire(s) is the brake light wires. I bought...

    Laser ground effects?

Whaaaatt?!?! How dare you give me your honest opinion when I asked for it when that opinion is not what I was hoping for?!? :roflblack: Just kidding! I really do appreciate the honesty. I put it on not so much to increase the visibility, but thought it would a little individuality to my...

Advice and suggestions for curves and Twisties?

I think that putting pressure on the outside peg forces you to shift your body weight to the inside, no? By putting weight on the inside, while leaning to the inside seems counter productive.

    Laser ground effects?

Hi folks! Honest opinions please on this. Cool, or stupid looking? It's hooked up to the license plate lights so it is on constantly. Thanks!

    Brake light strobe?

Hi folks! Has anyone installed a brake light strobe box on their Spyders? My dealer advised me not to do it due to the Spyders advanced electronic system and installing something like a strobe controller might put the entire system out of whack. However, I wanted to hear your guys...

    Had my first hater today

:bdh: I have already said that, yes, my reaction was uncalled for. However, if you are THAT worried that you had to reply after it was already :bdh:, about how a ONE TIME incident to ONE person is going to represent ALL Spyders, then perhaps you are the one who needs to reevaluate his sensitivities.

    Brake light wires?

Thanks, but how do I access the trailer hitch module? I looked under the seat and did not see a 3/1 trailer plug, or any module that has two red wires. Thanks again!
