• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Spyder ryde from a different view

Of the three that I have, each one has it good qualities over the other. For doing a follow video like mine, the Typhoon H is best in my opinion. The camera on the Typhoon H is also on the bottom of the drone, and the landing gear goes up, so you have full unobstructed view. However, the...

My Spyder ryde from a different view

Thanks for the compliment. As far as losing contact, it is pretty rare, but if it does, it actually depends on which drone. Some drones will RTH (Return to Home) where it took off from. The one I used for this has Dynamic Return to Home which will go to wherever the controller is. If it...

My Spyder ryde from a different view

The DJIGo app has a follow mode, but it is based on optics where it follows what you select on the display. If it visually loses what it is trying to follow, it stops following. There is another app, called Litchi which follows the controller via GPS. It works better than the DJI app, but it...

My Spyder ryde from a different view

Thanks for the compliments! It was fun making it and glad you all enjoyed it!

My Spyder ryde from a different view

It will follow as long as the battery will last...maybe 15 minutes tops.

My Spyder ryde from a different view

I wasnt going that fast. Maybe 30ish. The difference between the Yuneec Typhoon H and the Mavic is that the Typhoon H actually follows the controller via GPS and not visually like the Mavic does. I have both and to me, the Typhoon H does follow far better than the Mavic. I wouldn't trust...

My Spyder ryde from a different view

It was. Never heard that one before until recently and its turning out to be one of my favorites from them.

My Spyder ryde from a different view

It's not really that difficult once you know how to fly them. If you've never flown anything RC, I would say maybe 3 or 4 hours of practice learning the different flight controls and behavior of the drone

My Spyder ryde from a different view

I would like to, but I have to be very careful so it doesn't fly into trees, power lines, myself etc

My Spyder ryde from a different view

Yuneec Typhoon H for this. I also have the DJI Mavic Air and Mavic 2 Zoom, but they don't follow nearly as good as the Typhoon H

    F3 limited vs RT

To each their own I'm 5'11. I have an F3-T. When I ryde, I absolutely enjoy it and always try to find a roundabout way of getting to my destination, or simply ryde around without a destination. For me, it is so comfortable. I have my pegs at the middle position and usually put my legs over...

Off roading? We don't need no steenking Ryker!

Well, not exactly "off roading", but a probably at the limit that I would go with my Spyder. 360 video here: https://youtu.be/VhYwMiatT3E Slow and steady wins the race.

    F3-T Spotify question

I don't know what year your F3-T is but mine is a 2017. The 2017 does not have a dedicated BT connection, but I bought this : Mpow Bluetooth Receiver, Portable... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008AGQMQC?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf It works great. You power it through the existing USB plug that's in the...

    So it's called the Ryker!

Looks kinda cool, but I don't think that I will ever buy one simply because of the stupid name. "Hey, that looks cool, what is that?" "Well, that's my new Can Am Ryker" ugggh

    Virtual Reality or "Hyperframe" video?

Thanks for the feedback. The VR video is recorded and produced in 4K and uploaded to YouTube in the highest resolution possible. The fact that you're (and others?) are seeing it in such poor resolution has to be a matter of streaming/download speed. Does it clear up after a few seconds or...

Don't knock 'til ya try it

When I first got my Spyder about a year ago, one of my best friends in NY was giving me the obligatory smack about getting a "real" motorcycle, blah blah blah. I recently rode it to NY and let him ride it. He came back with a smile on his face and for the rest of the time I was there, he...

    Virtual Reality or "Hyperframe" video?

The camera is the Garmin Virb 360. It is a little pricey, but it's by far the best 360 camera that I've owned so far.

    Virtual Reality or "Hyperframe" video?

Nuh uh uh. :lecturef_smilie: That's not how it works. First you answer what one do you think is better, then if you want to know about the camera, you can ask.

    Virtual Reality or "Hyperframe" video?

Theres an app but it also has a pretty good-sized slide switch on the side of the camera so you don't need to fumble around looking for a little button. Battery life is up to an hour so recording is limited to that as well as SD card
