• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Please critique my video

I've been hired to do product marketing videos for a local dealership. It's the first iteration that will hopefully evolve into producing videos for every vehicle and accessory they sell. I dont have much experience in making a marketing video so any input will be appreciated. Please take a...

Confession time: I get a little silly when I get on my Spyder

It almost never fails. No matter what kind of mood I am in, as soon as I start ryding, I get happy. I sing to myself (sometimes with music. Sometimes just making up my own stupid songs). I bob my head to the music. Tap my feet. Move my knees up and down to the rhythm. Whistle. Imagine...

    $160,000.00 Spyder

Congratulations! From what I understand, the buyer of it gave it back to The Road Warrior Foundation so it can be sold again to make even more money for the foundation. Kudos!

My drone compliation from this weekend

The drone that I use for these videos is a Yuneec Typhoon H. It has obstacle avoidance.

My drone compliation from this weekend

No chase car. Just my drone and me. I use a Yuneec Typhoon H for the videos. I have a Mavic Air and Mavic 2 Zoom. Neither one of them can compare to the tracking capability of the Typhoon H

My drone compliation from this weekend

The maximum speed is 43.5 MPH, but that is with Obstacle Avoidance off. If obstacle avoidance is on, that speed is significantly reduced, but I'm not sure what the exact speed is.

    Got an email offer

Unless that deposit is non-refundable, so what? He would be reducing what he owes on the Ryker, albeit a very small amount, and gets an extra year on his warranty. At what cost to him? If you know of a way to investing that $250 and getting any type of gain worth holding onto in that short...

    And yet another one....

Good question. When I first heard about these belt tensioners, I really didnt know how much of an improvement they would be, and didnt want to spend more money than needed only to find out that it doesnt make THAT much of an improvement. However, in my opinion, the improvement is great and...

No new Farkles for me for long time

Sorry to hear that. Hope something comes along.

My drone compliation from this weekend

Glad you enjoyed it. As far as blocking, if anything, they would only block the audio. However, if that was going to happen, they usually do it pretty fast. Usually even before the video is done processing. I think there are artists and publishers who do not allow their music on videos...

My drone compliation from this weekend

Because it was recording when it crashed, the file was corrupted and not playable

My drone compliation from this weekend

It is rated to go up to 43.5 MPH while in "Follow Me" mode, but that is with Obstacle Avoidance off. When OA is on, the speed is significantly lower. I learned the hard way to keep Obstacle Avoidance on. I had it off and was going about 30MPH and it was keeping up with me quite nicely, but...

    And yet another one....

Sorry, but I wouldn't consider a $35 part failing after 12k miles a complete failure of the BRP one. Perhaps I'm one of the lucky ones. I have about 10k miles on my BRP tensioner and if it fails now, I will consider it money well spent. I find it hard to believe that some of these fail...

My drone compliation from this weekend

Hi folks! Got another drone video of various locations from my ryde(s) over the weekend. Hope you enjoy! https://youtu.be/noNsErpQF1w

    Another drone production

I use a Yuneec Typhoon H for these. I have the Mavic Air and the Mavic 2 Zoom as well. The Mavics are superior to the Typhoon in almost every way, but in my opinion, the Typhoon H is far superior for Following/Watching. The Typhoon H follows the controller via GPS and has never lost...

    Another drone production

Good catch! I didn't even realize it was in the video until you mentioned it. Had to watch it again to figure out what you were talking about. The drone looked to be getting a little too close to trees. The controller was strapped to the back seat so I reached back and pushed the stick to...

    Another drone production

My Spyder ryde from a different view

Thanks! Actually, when I used the term "following", that was incorrect. I should have used "watching". On the Typhoon H, "follow" will allow the drone to follow your movements, but the camera would not be facing you. "Watch" will follow your movements while keeping the camera on you. As far...
