• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Now that is really cool. :) p.s. you guys aren't going to be very popular with my wife when I get my spyder. ;)

    Helmet buffeting (Turbulance)

Unfortunately it isn't just the windshield height that matters. Shield width, the angle, the distance between the shield and your helmet all play as well. Until someone releases a shield with an adjustable bracket (something like the I7 CHAD) there isn't going to be a universal solution. For...

    Moved from riser install post

That's what holds almost every motorcycle handlebar on & they've been working for umpteen years.

    Vendor Experiences

For those of you who wear riding jackets/pants MotoLiberty has stellar service. I bought all my Olympia gear from them & will replace the jacket/pants I trashed in July when the time comes from them.

    What a Day

Fish tacos? Yumm! Skip the beer on a ride though, I can fall over all by myself, don't need any other influences to do it. ;)

GPS, Cell Phones, Cup Holders, and a whole lot more...

I mostly use the GPS as an "unlost" device. Hey, let's go hooooome now! :) I almost never try to follow a set route. Mostly I'll pick waypoints and just roam, that way it doesn't confuse the GPS. It just tells me which way to head to get to the next place, no matter which way I go. The real...

New BRP Touring Windshield coming in spring - see pictures

Here's my take on windshields (or nearly anything else)- form follows function. In other words, first make it work, then make it pretty. Sometimes the two never meet & you have to decide if you want "works" or if you want "pretty". Kinda like the Lamonster cool ram air saga. First it worked...

New BRP Touring Windshield coming in spring - see pictures

Well that's going to cut a lot of wind. Hopefully there isn't so much surface area that the mounting holes have a problem keeping it on the bike.

    Elka Suspension for Spyder

Call me weird, but if I'm spending that kind of change for a set of shocks I sure don't want to be messing with a wrench to adjust the preload.

Now I remember why I stopped buying this

Ok, maybe I'm dense or something, but every time a magazine reviews the Spyder it seems like most of the folk here get their panties all in a bunch. You bought it because you like it, what possible difference does it make what some mag flack (or anybody else) says about it? Are y'all just...

    Helibars...

I just had a thought. Is anyone familiar with the old ball CB antenna mounts? They have a split ball with a bolt to hold the 2 halves together while allowing the halves to rotate to keep the antenna vertical regardless of the angle that the base of the ball is mounted. Seems like it shouldn't...

I know a guy that put it on his FZ6 shield and swore by it. Never tried it myself though.

    One last time, maybe

Windshields are unfortunately one of those things that you kinda have to try until you find what works. Coming form V-Stroms I found that two gents the same height, same inseam & same arm length could get wildly divergent results with the same set up because of posture and/or body build. Sounds...
