• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I want to replace my analog fuel with an analog volt. Does anyone have a link or part name, number for a gauge that will match the look of the temp gauge?

Traded my 2013 RTS SM 5 for a Harley today

funny, I rode tailgunner for a group this weekend. Lead was a 14 Ultra Classic, then a few Japanese cruisers. Only one not being buffeted by the winds and big rigs was me and the wife on the Spyder. Ride was to an event at a Harley dealer about 3 hours away for me, hour for them, I picked...

Traded my 2013 RTS SM 5 for a Harley today

Congrats!!! Having had all kinds of motorcycles the buffeting, especially with tractor trailers, was worse on every two wheeler I've had, including an 07 Electra Glide Ultra Classic, when compared to the Spyder. The bottom line is you being happy, and the Ultra is a fine machine. Did close...

    Seat Pad

Huge difference in cost between Airhawk and Airhawk-2, as the '2' is the economy model with a plastic bladder vice neoprene. Both are on Amazon. The price you quoted as paying is pretty close to current Airhawk medium cruiser price. For the $89 you can get the Airhawk-2. I just got my...

Polaris has begun the advertising for the slingshot

I'll get my prognostication in early and say 'starting at 38k USD'.

but it is just a metal bar?

Ron's instructions are good, Finless' video is great. It's an hour job at most on an RT, with changing the heim links (please put Ron's links on, the plastic ones are....plastic). If you really take your time and do exact feeler gauge measurements on the gaps to get it perfectly centered...

Polaris has begun the advertising for the slingshot

In North Carolina at least there is no helmet required for a trike that you ride inside vice astride. The engine and 0-60 times tossed about lead me to believe it will be over 30k, but entirely speculation based on limited data.

    New Use for Glove Box

Just one more reason I'm thinkin of swapping my 2012 for a 2013. I ride all year and need the winter time heat. My 2012 isn't hot in the summer, it's going to suck in the winter :(. Mebbe I'll find one of these 2013 guys that hates the heat and wants to swap :).

    Any One Else?

Mine didn't do that...odd, I am very gentle with the parts as I remove them, but I can't imagine someone dropping the muff while it was off hard enough to break anything internal, There's that sound of the loose nut behind the handlebars, but that's always been there. :)

    Saying goodbye

luvs my pwc's. I'm old so I get all the toys :).....keep my spyder and my water stuff. Not in my sig but I have one of the original waveraiders, fast and unstable, love that thing.

    Factory exhaust getting louder

Wonder what's inside...most of my motorcycles have baffles that get wrapped in a matting material that has to be replaced every once in a while. Never looked at a modern bike muffler to see if they are reflective type or like the old bikes.

but it is just a metal bar?

It's also a good idea to post what dealer charges that and save the next person that experience. Good dealers should get a shout out, as should those that aren't.

    Insurance Question

Geico for me, 380 a year with 250 ded on the comp/collision, and 250/500 liability. Comes with towing. Was about $80 a year less than my Kawi Concours.

Is the RT Limited worth the $8000 more from the Base RT?

If you're paying labor, absolutely true. I'm turning my RT A&C into an S, been able to find most of the items at a good bit less than BRP retail and doing the installs myself. The chrome bits are done, fogs are going in this weekend. Hopefully next weekend I'll have time to tackle the air...

Long Distance Cold Weather Riding tips needed

Go to warmnsafe.com and check out some of their mounting options. You can put the controller into the dash if you'd like, and wire out of the way. The products are superior to gerbing, I've been wearing heated gear for a long time and haven't found anything that compares to warmnsafe. I...

    Spyders and $$$

Now I'm really confused, the original post says you've had a 2009 since 2009 and put 16k miles on it, but you bought the bike in 2012? Or were you doing your own oil changes on the 2009 and not on the 2012?

    Tale of three dealers

Glad you found help, and yeh it's sad but the old days of dealers dropping everything for an out of town rider with a 'bike down' situation are pretty much over. Ran into that a couple of years back with a tire. Funny (sad funny) anecdote....I was so tired and upset with the flat on my Tiger...

Special Thanks To Rnet, and Baja Ron

Ron's heim links are a thing of beauty, I almost want another set just to show off on my desk.....Sad to think of them just hiding under the spyder, but I'm really glad I'm not depending on plastic for a link.
