• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Gas mileage

You shouldn't be disappointed at that. I think that's better than average. Before my clutch replacement, I averaged 25.6 mpg. After, I've averaged 23.0. You must be doing something right.

Spyder RT PTT Button -- I wanna use it!

This could be an explanation as to why the CB stays keyed for an extra 7 seconds. CanBus is too busy to realize you let go of the button.

New Problem w Sprocket and Extended Warranty

Sounds like they have taken a chapter from the medical insurance industry. Deny claim, wait for you to squawk, deny claim, wait for more squawking... It's a waiting game, they are waiting for you to give up. I love a good fight.

    NOT ANOTHER GAS MILEAGE THREAD

How about Altonk..... he's been working on his wing, maybe a computer controlled variable wing to give downforce when needed and reduce the force when cruising along with aerodynamics to provide for more laminar flow. An extremely thorough wind tunnel study would help. Or, we could just ease...

    NOT ANOTHER GAS MILEAGE THREAD

Before DPS/Clutch my average was 25.6 mpg. After, it's dropped to 21.7. Don't think it's my touch. But the best method that I've found is to average all the fill-ups and see where each tank falls. If it's well below the average, something may be wrong.

    Radio volume?

The automatic volume control only works with the external speakers. Doesn't work with the headsets.

    New York times review

Obviously he didn't know where the down shift paddle is if he was waiting to slow down to get to a lower gear. No wonder he thought it was sluggish. My opinion is that the author is sluggish.

    Ipad

My wife doesn't have an iPad yet, but she wants to Velcro her iPhone to my back so she can play scrabble with her sister. I"m sure she'll realize she'll need a iPad for that.

    More Alternatives

Soooo, if you convert a Spyder to a 4-wheeled vehicle, does that make it a SPXDER? Or maybe a SPHDER?

I'll be there a little before 10, looks like I'm going solo for this trip. The wife has to work. Was going to take a spin around the island this afternoon after work, but just couldn't make it happen. I think I'll take a lunch break on the strand tomorrow.

RTS as a get away vehicle think not

This is true, I've been getting up every 5 minutes all day and starting my RT just so I don't have to wait for the screen! :joke: On a serious note, when my RT has problems starting after a hot ride, I attribute it to vaporized gas. When it starts and is just chugging at 500 rpm, I rap the...

    CB Problems

I don't use the CB, but we do use the icom portion. However, since I've read about the problems, I checked mine and t sticks too. At times, up to 5 seconds. Yep, that's not only annoying, but it's dangerous. You can add me to the list, although I'd be willing to bet that every one of them do...

The wing and carbon fiber are on

I have to agree with SilverSurfer here... looks like the moment arm is too far out causing a pivit point at the tire instead of down force. In otherwords, the down force is too far aft and not over the wheel. So instead of holding the back wheel down, it is creating a fulcrum point at the back...
