• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2nd Class Owner

`With many bragging about their 2020 Spyders, I feel as if I've become a 2nd class citizen as I have (dare I day it?) an ancient but much loved and much customized 2015 RT

To Spyder or not to Spyder that is the question

I used to ride a BMW K1200LT. I rode the heck out of it. Just not saying I didn't exercise the engine to it's potential on long straight stretches of SoCal and Arizona. BUT every 6 or 7 K miles, it needed new rubber at a cost of $700. And once over $900. I have 36 K miles on the Continental...

    Spyder RT Seat Replacement Options

I didn't see anyone mention the Ultimate seat. I rode stock '14 RT 600 miles. I considered checking in at local hospital for major butt pain. Didn't ryde again u ntil my Ultimate seat came in. I installed it and have ridden 44K miles (from Louisiana to Vaclourt IS a ride) My seat feels like...

Squeezed the trigger, and have a question

I asked a pair of local dealers for Yuasa batteries (top end lawn mower shops) and was quoted over $200. I searched Amazon and got one for half that. Don't forget to get the Yuasa battery minder and after each ryde, connect it. Especially for those long cold Winters.

    Good deal or no good

Without going into it, I agree with Bromla about the Shreveport shop. Spyder sales and repair is a sideline. Their big impetus is travel trailers. Very disappointed with the one and only time I used them.

    Gremlin/Guardian Bell - 2019 RTL

I don''t know if this is a tradition or not, but a Goldwing rider says the best luck with the bell is if someong gives it to you. Possible old wives tale.

    2020 RT base model questions

Did BRP fix the swaybar issue? How about belt tensioner? I bought the base model. Buy the limited. More money up front but in the long way, it will be cheaper.

    Magic Mirror Question #8,317,429

I installed the mirrors per instructions, 3 magnets. Been a while back. I like that phrase used in a post earlier, above 100. Very familiar with that term. That is, some of my friends use it. Rock solid mirrors and even after I had a set of concave, wide angle mirrors installed on top of...

    ECU Flash question

However it works out, you will be amazed what a Stage 2 flash will do. It's like riding a two wheeler again. But the thing I like most, turn the key on and instantly start the engine. Alright, the rest of it was awesome...

if the 2020 rt limited doesn't get here soon

While the 2020 RT seems wonderful, think of all of the modifications that you have made to your RT. I see a few of the add on's we all have added have been included in the new model. But, not close even. But that's good for future buyers. The new model does not have enough of the things that...

Any 2020 rt limiteds out there?

It is possible the 2020 RT series is not available is most likely due to the assembley in Valcourt. At the 10th aniversary tour of the factory floor, we learned that they manufacture snow mobiles all Summer and later in the year, they change the assembly line over to Spyders. Not sayin' but...

    Gas shock for Spyder seat

While we're on the subject of seats, I replaced my stock seat with the Ultimate seat when I had barely 600 miles on it. It has been stored in the box in my workshop since. If anyone wants it, if you pay shipping, it's yours. 71225 is my zip

TricLED Fenderz with safety reflecter install??

This is just me but I got the stage 2 ECU upgrade. My opinion it is worth it. Yes, costs more but 10 HP more makes the Spyder RT much more responsive to throttle. Reminds me of my 2 wheel BMW rides. Just sayin

    New Spyder RT limited

There is a site, cyclefish dot com, which has a chart to tell the numbers. 32 degrees at 70 mph is about 10 degrees. Super airid.

    New Spyder RT limited

Today, it is 32 degrees. I saw three Harley Davidson (I think) motorcycles riding at 70 with two leather clad people on board. I hope they had some really really good heating gear. What is the wind chill factor of 32 degrees in a 70 mph wind??? Most likely they were having a good time.
