• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spyderfest 2014

2014 Spyderfest Was not able to make 2012 or 13 Spyderfest, but certainly enjoyed popping in unexpectedly back in 2011 with exactly 600 miles on my 2 day old RTS. Got excellent first service and oil change and met a lot of great people:yes:. Maybe I can get there in 2014.

Home Safe From Maggie Valley Check-in....

Did not make it to Maggie Valley BUT: I did pass by the area on Thursday as many of you were beginning to arrive. Had been to Bangor, Maine for a ride with 50 of my friends all over Maine. Was a lot of fun being one of the only two Spyders amongst 40 Harleys. Made a believer out of at least one...

Will try to find it. Call myself having looked there for it long time ago. However, never have been known for my smarts :-)

Faint squeal (or faint whistle) when parked

Often, when parked in my garage, I used to hear a sound like a very weak smoke alarm. Finally tracked it down to the RTS. Don't know where. Does not do it all the time and never at a dealer (too much background noise) Spyder has been on its open trailer for most of the past ten days. Put 60...

Traded my GL1800 for a new RT S

You will love the Spyder! Enjoy it a RIDE. I am getting a few years on the old back so I don't do much over 400 miles without popping it on the trailer:cus:. I travel all over the country and have to rent 3 wheel transport often. Very few dealers rent the Spyder. Town and Country Harley...

Which handles better, Spyder or bike?

Gold Wing Trike Going to Vegas Monday to spend the week with several of my brothers. Usually have to rent a Harley TriGlide when I am not able to ride my RTS. This time I am told the reserved machine is a Honda Gold Wing Trike and I will get a good chance to compare the three vehicles. I expect...

    Spyder RT vs HD TriGlide

Proved to myself once again how great the RT is:yes:. Several times a year I meet a group of very close friends in various parts of the country for a ride. This past weekend, we were in Gatlinburg for a run through the dragon. Two of my brothers rode their RTs 1,000 miles from Houston (via...

    Natchez Trace Parkway

Admittedly, I live in Natchez, reputed to be the oldest city on the Mississippi River, so I am somewhat prejudiced.;) The Trace and the towns along it are very motorcycle friendly. Start in Nashville and take two or three days but plan at least two or three more just for Natchez. There you will...

    GPS Options For the RT

Garmin 665 For all the bells and whistles, put in the Zumo 665. Now you can get Sat radio and weather without buying the high priced BRP sat radio.

    Ohio couple killed

I usually tell people that, at speed, a conventional trike in a turn will plow straight ahead until the front wheel grabs then there is a good chance of it flipping. I tell them that, while the Spyder can be made to flip on pavement, it is much more difficult to do so. THAT BEING SAID, if you...

GW Motor Trike vs. RT-S SE5

Good to see you back on the board, George. I wasn't too far from you last month but had left your contact data. May get out there again one of these days. Enjoy reading about you, BR1 and Punkin. I should have bought your Burgman. I miss mine some times but not too much. Cappy in Mississippi:joke:

    speeding ticket

As someone said earlier, the best answer is: Yes sir, Yes sir, and ok sir. Remember, they are only doing what they are paid to do. That being said, it doesn't hurt to ask if they feel generous and give a warning!!!!
