• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What Kind of Rider are you?

I live in the Phoenix area. No snow here, very little rain, and only freezes a couple of times a year. However, riding is not very pleasant when it's 110-120 degrees, so I ride less during summer. The exception being if I am touring, because almost anyplace I go will be much cooler than Phoenix...

    Electric Spyder next?

Why not? I do a lot of touring, usually 400-600 miles/day and usually take secondary or scenic routes. Electric isn't up to the task with present day technology. Charging stations will be situated along interstates first and it will be years before they appear in out of the way places. I live...

Spyder owners are stuck up - why is this so?? Please explain...

I came from the Harley world a year ago. I have noticed that when riding my Spyder, most motorcycle riders wave (even Harleys), the one group that consistently stands out as non-wavers is others on Can-Am trikes. Whatcha gonna do?

Any videos showing 2020+ RT front trunk removal?

Hi, I have a need to remove the front trunk ("frunk") on my 2022 RTL. I thought I had seen a how-to video a few months back, but I can't find it now. Does anyone have a link to a video that shows how to remove the frunk on a 2020+ RT? Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!

New product for a little security - Jump Starter/Air Compressor combo

Personally, I'd just replace the battery and not worry about it. Who gets 7 years out of a motorcycle battery?

'22 RT glove box USB won't charge iPhone as GPS - any work around?

I added a "docking station" to my 22 RTL. One side has dual USB plugs and the other side has a 12v lighter socket. On long trips, if my phone isn't charging, I just plug into the USB port and solve the problem.

Do you use motorcycle parking spaces?

The only place I usually see dedicated motorcycle parking where I live is at Harley dealerships. That said, I have a disabled plate - so I usually get prime parking.

What Rear Axle Nut Wrench are you using?

tekton.com makes decent tools at a reasonable price. You can order individual wrenches there.

Has anyone come up with a Device to hold RT lid open?

Show Chrome makes a beefier strut for the trunk lid on 2020+ RT models. I ordered mine from Slingmods, about $35.

Anyone installed netting inside 2020+ RT Saddle bag to secure contents?

I would like nets for the saddlebag doors to hold smaller loose items. They have them for older models, why not 2020+?

Any videos showing 2020+ RT front trunk removal?

Wow, that's exactly what I was looking for. Couldn't find it on Youtube, didn't think to check Martin's site. Thanks a lot!

Going to try Balancing beads; should I remove weights?

I have used the balancing beads in my previous motorcycles, even a Kawasaki VN1600 Nomad with a rear car tire and they worked great. Yes, you are supposed to remove the lead weights.

Any videos showing 2020+ RT front trunk removal?

I'll just say it - I'm an idiot. I took a 3000 mile trip on my 2022 RT-L from Phoenix to Cody, WY and the radiators are full of deceased insect life and vegetation. I have purchased protective grills for the future, but would like to clean the radiators and grill areas really well before I...

Retired, or .........? Why does posting rate here drop on weekends?

Maybe like me, they work during the week and ride/do other things on the weekends. Not everyone on here is retired.

To kill or not to kill (switch), that is the question

That's literally what the kill switch is for. I know on other bikes, it was recommended to use the kill switch because repeatedly using the key to turn it off could damage the contacts in the ingition.

Any hints on checking rear tire Air Pressure-F3L

I'm disabled (double below knee amputee) and getting down to the ground and getting up again is extremely difficult for me. I installed a Fobo2 system so I only have to get down on the ground if the rear tire needs attention. I highly recommend this product!

New Pedal Box Install (blue tooth version) - No noticeable difference

I have a Pedal Commander which is essentially the same product/does the same thing, and the difference was night and day. There's something wrong with yours if you can't tell a difference.

Anyone else ryding with an Ankle Foot Orthotic? How's it working?

I ride with two prosthetic legs (double below knee amputee). It's fine, I have to lift my whole lower leg to use the brake as I have no ankle flexion, but I'm used to it.

Anyone got any Additional Security for their Top Case??

It's a plastic box. If someone wanted it bad enough, a well-placed pry bar would pop it off the rack it sits on. Locks only keep honest people honest. This is what insurance is for. Don't keep valuables in your top case when parked overnight or for long periods when you'll be away from the bike.
