• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Spyder Sightings

We'll assume it was you, and I'll give you a virtual wave! :2thumbs: I've been riding my blue RT in to work when the weather's been nice; I'm a block over on 150th.

BRP should add this to the RT Limited as a new accessory

Don't know if anyone's seen this clip, but it looks like a terrific add-on for any bike. Maybe BRP should add it to RT Limited:

    Curiosity question.......

In WA state, there are separate endorsements for two and three wheelers (the latter including regular trikes and side cars, as well as us Spyder folks). You do not need a two wheel endorsement if you're only going to ride three wheelers. But you can't ride a three wheeler without the three...

help with BRP helmet to helmet

I was thinking the same - not any other settings that it seems one can mess with... Okay, off we go! Gotta get the parking brake spring thing taken care of anyway...

help with BRP helmet to helmet

Sooo... Radgirl and I just had the CB Comm system & Entertainment harness installed (they were backordered when we bought the bike). And we have the BRP-1 helmets. And... things are not going as planned. :) Hence my query here. On the helmets, we have the mic's seated well in their sockets. And...

    Delay Can Am Accessories????

I ordered my RT travel cover thru the dealer when I bought the bike, at the beginning of July. It's been backordered since then, but when I picked up the bike on Wednesday from it's 600 mile service, they told me that the covers would ship next week. So I think they've been waiting for a...

    Who's Your Favorite Ambassador ???

I'm voting for Faran 'cause she friended me on Facebook. :D But also because, in the spirit of the original question, I think she was a good choice from the standpoint of the non-traditional biker. Lamont is an obvious choice, due to his high profile and generosity in running sites like this...

How to do YOU get on to your Spyder?

Even for us non-two wheelers, the left seems to be the 'correct' side. Of course, I also ride a bicycle, which has a kickstand on the left too. So could just be conditioning from that.

How many Spyders do we have in Washington?

    It's a deal!

How many Spyders do we have in Washington?

Unfortunately, no; we'll be out of town that weekend. Hate to miss it, since it'd be a great chance to meet some Northwest Spyder ryders. Hopefully there will be some more group events coming along. We'd certainly like to meet you, and your bike - you have a number of mods we'd like to check...

    brake fault

I was just told yesterday at the dealer that there is a new service bulletin that came out two days ago related to a parking brake spring problem (I was inquiring about the 2011-7 bulletin on the throttle bodies, but he said my bike already had that fix; it was delivered in July). He didn't have...

How many Spyders do we have in Washington?

Radgirl and I are going to take the Trike class from the Northwest Motorcycle folks at Auburn at the end of August. After that, and getting our full endorsements, we'll be ready to tackle some trips with folks.

    2 Spyders/2 Odometers = Way off ???

If the smile on Holly's face on the back of that RT was any indication, you're absolutely correct.

What do you carry in your trunk?

Radgirl tosses her purse in the trunk, which contains most everything that everybody above has mentioned (well, maybe not the trunk monkey...). And if you ever tried to lift my wife's purse, you'd understand. She once carried a six inch long block of 1 x 4 wood (a stain sample for matching some...

    Never road a motorcycle

My RT-S is my first motorcycle. As of today I have a little over 400 miles on it. Sometimes in reading through the forum here, one can feel a bit intimidated by reading posts by very experienced two wheel riders who feel, shall we say, less than secure on a Spyder. As many of the experienced...

    Florida BRP Extended Warranty

Also interested in anyone's experiences with RPMOne. My dealer indicated they didn't offer the BEST warranty (although I'm sure it's more a matter of them getting a better financial deal with RPMOne), so I took what they had. Sounds okay on paper but interested to hear from anyone who's used...

    Spyder Sightings

Black RS, southbound on 148th Ave in Redmond, WA on Monday (today) at 12:15 PM. Actually the first Sypder I've seen on the road, besides my own! Would it be crazycanuck? I know he lives in Bellevue, nearby...

    Couple of clothing questions

Thanks, all! I went down to Eagle Leather in Tacoma, WA (first visit there, great store and fun staff), and Radgirl and I each picked up a pair of DragginJeans. Took 'em out on a ride this afternoon, and they felt fine. So, I see akspyderman's not too keen on the armor pads. ;) Anyone else...
