• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Got her today.

The F3-S has the same fenders as the top trim lines for the other models with the exoskeleton fender reflectors and LED front light. The light kit for the other models with that fender will work on the F3-S. I've installed the Custom Dynamics LED fender Brightsides. Tricled has a similar kit...

    F3 Passenger Backrest

Check with Louis Powersports in Greenville, TX. I stopped by there last Saturday to pick up a set of aux lights and heated grips. I saw a passenger backrest in stock then. The sales guy said that they ship. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Satellite Radio

I installed the satellite radio module and entertainment harness on my wife's '11 RT. I thought that the instructions that came with both were pretty decent and complete enough. I ran into problems adding the Sena SM-10 Bluetooth unit since that wasn't the Can Am version with its own harness. If...

    F3 Auxiliary Light Installation

I like the idea of a slot in a socket. That would be perfect. First thing I tried was needle nose pliers. Those worked on one of the six. Maybe I didn't have a pair that was long and slender enough. I had a difficult time getting anything on the back side with enough room and mechanical...

    F3 Auxiliary Light Installation

You can aim them very easily if you remove the side panels. Each of the three attach bolts can be adjusted - Philips head screwdriver from the light side, flathead screwdriver from the back side. The access won't be quite as easy from the back side, but it should be do-able. Sent from my...

    Heated Grips

Pauly - thanks for the info. I do plan to download the shop manual this week. Getting the description of what panels need to be removed helps a lot. Looks like you have to get it to the configuration shown in the first picture of the installation instructions. That's what I needed! Sent from...

    Heated Grips

For those who have installed the heated handgrips, how much of the upper Tupperware and console has to be removed? Based on the first picture in the instructions, it looks like the upper shelf piece comes off, but the console and covering on top of the Spyder remain. Yet these parts do not show...

    F3 Auxiliary Light Installation

Trim Pieces Yes - I got the additional trim pieces, along with a supplemental letter saying to add the missing parts to the kit (which they did) and to replace the instruction sheet with Revision 1, March 2015. I don't think I got the revised instruction sheet, as the instruction sheet...

    F3 Auxiliary Light Installation

Aux Light Installation Cont'd With the clips moved all the way back, it pushes the light forward, away from the housing frame. This gave me room to use a screwdriver to rotate the clip using the ear on the forward side. Once all were locked in place, I used the power screwdriver to "screw...

    F3 Auxiliary Light Installation

Picked up the Aux lights yesterday at Louis Powersports in Greenville, TX yesterday. It sure looked like a straight-forward installation. Remove the side panels, install the lights, install the switch, and you're good to go! I figured maybe 45 minutes, tops. 3 1/2 hours later, the job was done...

    Tank bag for F3

Put a Nelson Riggs CL-1045 on my F3. 12+ liters, 16+ liters expanded. It's only 7" wide, so the stock bars just clear - the clusters come right up to the bag at max throw. It's spacious enough for what I want. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    F3 Accessories

It's been two months since I purchased my F3-S, and until today, the only BRP accessories that I had on it were the Blue Ridge windshield (installed when I purchased the Spyder) and the +2 brake rod to put the pegs in the forward-most position. Nothing else was available. Called my dealer and...

    Corbin Seat - Part 1

Just did a ride around the block, and I'm already a fan of the firm seat. Found the nut I lost last night during the installation - it was sitting on top of the cat converter. Took some pics with the backrest in both locations. May just order a second backrest when the saddlebags become...

Toll Roads on the way to Spyderfest

Yazz, there are some new "managed" lanes being built in the DFW area - a toll road built into the existing freeway. On the most recent ones, you will not see a single sign that says toll or toll road. There will be only ONE sign that indicates the cost to use the "toll road". It's a digital sign...

    Corbin Seat - Part 1

It was a fairly smooth installation - about 50 minutes or so. I lost a little time looking for one of the nuts used in the original rear seat locking mechanism attachment. It slid down the inside of the rear wheel splash guard, hit the frame and something else, but not the floor... Good thing I...

    Corbin Seat - Part 1

A big box showed up at the front door today! I ordered a heated Corbin seat with a single standard backrest that can go in either the driver or passenger position. Since the installation is a touch more than plug-and-play, I won't get it installed until later in the week. For now, a sneak...

    Heated Grips

I'd like to know the same thing. For me, I need to know if the heated grips swap out with the current grips. I'm holding off installing my Lidlox handlebar end helmet locks and some grip buddies until I get the heated grips installed, or know I don't have to pull the existing grips off. Sent...
