• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Update on belt vibration

Thanks all for your reply’s. I suppose I’ve eliminated the vibration, with the belt dampener, but I didn’t find the cause of the vibration. As I progress through the regular maintenance of the bike (new tires, etc) I can disable the dampener to see if the changes made a difference in the...

    Update on belt vibration

Thought I would give an update on my 2019 F3L belt vibration. Quick history; at highway speeds (70 to 80 mph) I would get considerable vibration and at about 75 mph it was so bad that I had to back off the throttle which was a serious concern when in the passing lane. I don’t do highways or...

    Driver to passenger communication

Ex-Rocket I currently use a Cardo system and am happy with the unit. My main interest is to communicate with my passenger which it does well. I use the FM radio built into the Cardo unit more often than the Spyder radio. With my three quarter helmet I find it difficult to hear communication...

2020 RT Limited swirls in the paint

Most of my glossy black trim has the swirl marks on them and I am also searching for a product which might help in removing them. I did come across a segment in the vlog “cruisemans garage” where he demonstrated how to remove light scratches from a Goldwings saddlebags. His demonstration would...

    BRP belt dampener

Did BRP make a change to the mounting bracket on their belt dampener? I seem to remember a reference to this in a posting somewhere. Poasttown

    What model do you recommend

Adventurer In my comments concerning the class I failed to mention that my class had a few different models of the spyder and we were allowed to try all if we choose. Poasttown

    What model do you recommend

I agree with bikerchris. I enrolled in a one day CanAm course and found it to be very beneficial. Even though all the riding was on a closed parking lot course it provided a lot of learning and fun. The course also provided the time to get the feel of the CanAms envelope in a safe and...

What Black Plastic Polish do you recommend?

I did a quick search and didn’t see anything specific on this topic. The black gloss plastic trim, 2019 F3L, on the dash and around speakers is extremely susceptible to lite scratches. I have looked at various compounds/products and almost all indicate that it shouldn’t be used on plastic...

    BRP Support

Bruiser37 I contacted them today at the number Jaybros listed and was able to speak to a real person. I did call early around 9:15 Eastern time. When I called I was automatically given some number options. Not knowing exactly which number to push I just pushed number one. A gentleman came on the...

Tyre Question - Different Topic... advantages using different tires front vs rear?

I’m beginning to wonder if anyone is happy with the stock Kenda tires. My experience with other bikes, not the spyder yet, has been associated with the tread life of the stock tires. I just got tired of having to change the tires every year. (4000 to 5000 miles per year) It seemed that I was...

    2021 belt tension/high speed vibration :(

I may not be far from installing a belt tensioner/dampener as well. I really don’t want to do this but if I decide to spend much time doing Hwy miles on a trip then I will probably do the installation. Does the Lamonster belt dampener use the same mounting bracket as the BRP Belt dampener. I...

    Tire wear bars

Thanks all for the comments. I will take a closer look tomorrow. I’m thinking what I was looking at may be the rubber support blocks as threewheels mentioned. Blueknight, I’m not sure exactly which tire I have but It’s the tire that came new from the factory. Poasttown

    Tire wear bars

I have a few questions concerning the original Kenda tires on my 2019 F3L. I’m seeing the wear bars, I’m assuming wear bars, there isn’t an indicator on the sidewall as I would expect. Sure looks as if there is a lot of tread remaining once the bars are reached. Q1. Is there a reason why so...

Why does the 2019 F3 Limited not come with a Belt tensioner and roller?

I have ask the same question Bluebelle. My F3L does the same thing and really gets a severe vibration in the high 70 mph range. I don’t ride in the mid seventies often but when on the interstate it’s more common. Staying in the slow lane and below the traffic flow, just so the bike doesn’t...
