• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Buy 2017 or wait till 2018?

You have to have a dealer like me. The only discounts they offer is what BRP gives. Even 2 year old models.:dontknow:

    Spyder Quest?

You can still register for Spyder Quest. You just don't get the t shirt and other goodies that the early signups get. Go to spyderquest site and download form and fill it out. It is a fun rally. Believe me I go to two or three a year.

Do Not Ever Get Injured in Canada! How we spent our last Day at Homcoming

You can't compare Quebec to the rest of Canada. The Maritime Provinces are great. I have been in the hospitals twice in Nova Scotia. The first time it took me ten minutes to be checked out. I don't even remember how much it cost me. The second time was an accident had to ride in an ambulance...

    No 1330 Engines

At least it's a 1330 not a 998. Last year I blew the engine on my 2012 RT-S. The factory does not carry new 998. The dealer has to tear it down and order all the parts individually. One out of stock part and your bike is down till back order comes in. I was told 3 months minimum. Traded it in...

We did make it to Spyderfest but...

This was my eighth Spyderfest and my last. The weather is too unpredictable plus I'm getting too old. The biggest problem with I-44 is that there is no alternate route available.

Bob D. .... NYS sales tax....

They could get really greedy like the state Maine tried to be when Cabellas came into the state. They wanted them to charge sales tax on ALL their sales including store and internet sales anywhere in the country. Now that is greedy.:yikes:

Did You Watch the Oscars Last Night?

Nope Have never watched any of those award shows and have no interest. All they are doing is telling us what to watch or listen to in entertainment. Another way of increasing they're bank accounts.

I am sooooo not pleased....I know whine whine whine

Karyl just got back from a ride. The big showers we had last night cleaned the roads. Conditions are 41* sunny but windy Roads are dry and for the most part in decent shape. Felt good. Only problem makes the wait for spring harder.

    spyderfest 2017

April 2017 is the change over year for Spyderfest. Either it is the last week of April or the first week of May. Myself I would prefer the first week of May. That would give us Northerners an extra week for warmer temperatures. It would also make a little better for those from the West Coast...

    Spyder caught fire today

This has the markings of a SCAM. He jumped off of a Spyder at 50 mph rolled on the grass, sustained injuries but got up and thought to take out his phone and take a movie of the spyder burning. Same day as this is reported his lawyer makes a statement that he has done extensive research into the...

    Update on Spyder

Here is picture of my oil filter that was the cause of my engine seizing up on my way home from Spyderfest this year. All parts for the rebuild had to be ordered. To my surprise BRP had all parts in stock. One mistake two of one part instead of right & left. Dealer says up to a week and a half...

    Does this look right?

I put a set just like that on my spyder. Don't let the price scare you. They are the same as what some of the dealers are selling for $100 +. I bought a switch for them but never installed it. I wired mine in line with the fender lights. No problem with power. They come on with the key. The...

    collapsed oil filter

They removed the oil filter and drained the oil into a pan. The oil was full of silver powder. The mesh around the filter was crushed on the lower end of the filter. This caused the welds to break from the bottom end. Made a mess of the clutch and cracked the lower end.

    collapsed oil filter

I had an oil change done to the Spyder the day before we left for Spyderfest. Dealer checked oil level when I left the Spyder the day after it happened and everything was okay. The next two weeks should be interesting. BRP has no spare engines. I wonder how many parts for the rebuild will be...
