• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Trunk Lid Dropping - any adjustment or fix?

Is there a way to adjust something/somewhere which would keep the trunk/top case open on a 22 F3 Limited?

Do Older F3's have any reliability issues?

I had a 17 F3 Ltd. When we parted it was to get a 22 Plasma Red SS. The 17, when I parked it for the last time, had 68K miles. It went all over the lower 48. The only issue was replacement of the front sprocket, which was done before it caused any problems.

Is another extended warranty worth it? Where from?

Extended warranties are insurance policies. As such, a potential buyer can search for the policy they feel they need or want for their peace of mind. I’ve carried extended policies on each of the 4 Spyders I’ve owned since 2010. The first 2 were BEST’s. The third was a Zurich. The fourth was an...

Your experience/thoughts on Spyder vs Other Trikes?

I haven’t ridden any other brand/model since I bought my first Spyder RS in 2009, but have a friend who has “experimented” with a number of alternatives to his Harley “trike with a trunk,” as he calls it. His assessment was “the ones with one wheel in front are akin to driving a dump truck,”...

Question for the seasoned one-up road warriors. Sway Bars

With all due respect to posters and products, I’m going to say, if you have the inclination and the money, upgrade whatever you wish. I’ve had 3 Spyders in my life so far. I’ve used car tires, sway bars, different shocks, etc.. On those Spyders, I’ve traveled all over the country, all kinds of...

"Best Way to See a National Park"

It would be a smart idea to research the timing of your anticipated visit to many of the National Parks. Quite a few have either pilot or in place “timed spacing” measures. The days of paying an entrance fee when you happen to arrive are gone as it pertains to many parks. A “timed day use...

I need an extended warranty after the 5 years BRP allows. Is there a company?

I’ve used Zurich for years as well. Of the few claims made, on 2 different Spyders, each at different dealers, there has never been any issues with getting it covered.

    Wrong Road!

I don’t recall ever being on the wrong road. I’ve never been lost. Im just wandering and exploring. Many of the best roads, sites, sights and adventures have been experienced because I was simply wandering.

    Share your mouse repellent ideas

https://www.earthkind.com/product/fresh-cab-rodent-repellent/ Discovered this product many years ago at the John Deere dealer. It was put in all the tractor and combine cabs. I’ve used it for 15 or so years in the house and garage. Never once had a mouse.

Spyder Travelers, what do you do for overnight stays?

For numerous reasons I always get a room for the night when Spyder ryding. I’ve been doing it since I got my first Spyder in 2010. I’ve traveled through all of the lower 48, 98%+ on “local roads,” meaning non-interstate highways. I always plan my overnight stay around noon on each particular...

    Visit to LaMonster Garage

I use both Lamonster and Spyderpops for various servicing and products. Both are super friendly places to visit, they know the real meaning of customer service, are extremely efficient, knowledgeable and competent. Lamonster Garage is 90 miles northeast. Spyderpops is 200 southwest. Regardless...

Opinions wanted: Spyder vs HD trikes

It’s a given, one is free to ryde whichever model, brand, etc., one wishes too. My opinion is a HD trike is more like driving a dump truck; a Spyder more like steering a sports car.

    Kenda kanines?

I just love these tire threads. For some reason, I get great joy reading all the complaints of tire performance of this and that brand, how Kenda’s are crap, etc.. First, I ryde most of the year, all kinds of terrain, weather, road surfaces and do so in my ryding style, which is fast and...

Nolan helmets - what makes them so popular?

I use a NOLAN Trilogy in the heat and an N-91 much of the year. I like the fit, the super wide view field, the operation of the visors and sun shields, the quality for the price, their durability, easy of getting replacement parts, and the relative quietness while wearing either. I’d agree with...

What is the farthest miles you have gone in one day ?

618 miles from Central Illinois to Western New York State on a 2012 RT, back in 2017. The next day was 47 miles. Too much to see along the St. Lawrence River and on. “Long days” now are 300-350 per day.

    F3 Limited or RT Limited???

Having had both, in my own experience, I want the F3. I like sitting “in” the F3 rather sitting “on” the RT. I’m in no way convinced the RTL holds more stuff than an F3L. Test ryde both and discover which fits your comfort level best, Then pack what you want and hit the road. Typically...

Which New exhaust for my F3s? What do you have?

As said by the previous poster, it all comes down to personal preference, coupled with acceptable pricing to achieve it. My choice was 2 Brothers.

    Camera Suggestions

I use the GoPro Max. I got it last year, replacing a GoPro 5 Black. With the Max’s multiple recording functions, especially the 360 mode, it has taken me some time, trial and error, and practice to get the results I want. The camera provided stunningly clear, smooth and exciting video. Editing...
