• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

is back rest from brp worth money

Got my sportrack and backrest yesterday. Unfortunately, the sportrack was wrong color and the backrest had one of the pin slots broken off. I hope that was just a fluke and it doesn't break while transporting the wife down the highway. Guess I'll have to wait awhile before giving my 2 cents...

    Extended Warranty

Got a call from the dealer rep this morning offering the 3 year extended warranty for 799.00. Also offering 3 year maintenance contract for 2500.00 which seems high unless you put the kind of miles on your machine that Lamonster does.:coffee:

    Found a bit of a flaw>>>>

I have gotten in the habit of manually downshifting all of the time. IMHO, the auto-downshift waits too long.

    Brake pads: old and new

Got my SE back from break-in service on Saturday. Ever since, my brakes have been squealing (didn't notice any noise before). They also squeak after releasing brakes while rolling forward. Almost like they are sticking. Is brake adjustment done during initial break-in?

2009 SE5 Owners still having shifting problems?

Got my machine back. No fixes for shift/throttle syndrome. Tech says he should hear back from BRP by Tuesday regarding software update or need for parts. Of course, they could not duplicate the problem during their test ride. In the meantime, did order hindle for 475.00, and they will install...

Service tech said the Gear Position Sensor and Oil Pressure Spring replacement was only for the 2008 model (since it was...

    No Headlight or Foglights

\Sounds like maybe an assortment of fuses and a flashlight might be essential storage items in addition to the relays. :yikes:

    Installation of BRP sport rack.

Thanks, I guess I was getting ahead of myself... just ordered it today. I looked for instructions online and came up empty-handed. Was trying to see if a fumble-fingers as myself was up to the task.

    Installation of BRP sport rack.

Is there an illustrated guide for DIY installation of BRP sport rack, or is that best left up to the dealer? :dontknow:

High Idle Problem on Electronic Shift

Two years ago while flying to Florida, I was thumbing through one of the in-flight magazines when I saw a picture of the Spyder. It was love at first sight. Up until last summer I had pestered the wife to give me the green light on a purchase. She so adamantly made her disapproval known that...
