• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Motorcycle Air Conditioning

I use a cooling jacket that is no longer made but works quite well if you can find an alternative. You fill it with water and it evaporates with time and keeps your core cool. Much cooler. Much much cooler. Mine has a goretex liner which keeps you dry but if you cant find one like that an...

    Dreaded seat again

The problem isn't the seat it is your own butt. My wife rides comfortably for hours and hours on a stock seat. Not me. She has a wider seating position than I do ... mine which is downright skinny. Yes I have a thin bony ass. I even use a cushion on our kitchen chairs. I must or I really...

    Doc Humphrey’s spring stiffeners

The paint on mine is starting to come off so it is easy to see them. The nuts in combination with the swaybars replacement was the fix for me. I absolutley love how it handles now ...

    New spyder owner with questions

Just wanted to add that until you finally get PO'd enough to spend the few dollars to actually implement the fix we all know about (or should know about) the anti-sway bar is number 1 and the Doc's spring stiffeners is a close 2nd ... and what a bang for the buck. Really just a few hundred...

    Price not withstanding ....

I would recommend anything from a 2014 and up. They are about the same and prices on used models are really good. If the mileage warrants it go for a 2014 or 15 ...

    Motorcycles don't wave back.

I would estimate that in Canada 98% of bikes wave. The missing 2% are either too busy to wave or are a true 1%er. I even catch a few true 1%er's who will do a quick two finger dip if no one else is watching. LOL Someone mentioned a nice spring day and that does warrant a wave even from the...

    Installed Baja Ron sway bar

I just wanted to add that the height you have to lift the bike is scary. I rigged up a safety of sorts with ropes tied to the ceiling and still I nearly **** my pants gently reaching under and threading the old bar out and the new bar in. But the reach in takes about 2 minutes and then you can...

    suspension

Just wanted to say that the stiffeners and sway-bar did it for me. I can't tell which did the most. Those little stiffeners really really changed the suspension and the sway-bar really changed the steering. But the combination of the two is like magic. I can hit a corner at full speed with...

I would really like to know what you all think about this.

If you want to humble the service technician show him your post and let him know that perhaps over 10,000 spyder riders area reading his responses.

    Gas - I tried 93... going back to 87!

The requirement to retard ignition (premium gas does just that) is dependant upon elevation. Pure and simple. Anything above 4,000 feet really doesn't warrant premium gas just due to the principles of combustion. Less elevation the requirement is varied ... I would think that at sea level it is...

I updated my 660 a few weeks ago and now it needs another update! Thanks for this note or I would have never checked.

We both got to sit test one.

My mother had a medical accident while getting cataracts removed and she developed double vision. While waiting for a surgeon to take her to properly correct the issue (she eventually had to go to a "children's specialist" who corrects kids who are born with crossed eyes and the like) ...

    Motorcycle Camping gear

You didn't say ... are you single or two up? Are you planning on cooking or are you like me and find cooking just that one task too many when camping? Too much stuff to haul. And I like my Starbucks in the morning :-) I find that a three man tent is OK for one but you really need a four man...

Doctors in Canada think they make too much and others make too little

As a Canadian ... Canadian Drs. for the most part participate in the "public health system". They don't have to ... they can opt to be outside of the system and bill what ever they want when ever they want. They are (for the most part again) paid fee for service. So a visit to the Dr. depends...

Does it really take 300 miles?

Just want to echo that the Baha Ron sway bar is an absolute must for me. I also stiffened up the front springs with 4 of these ... : https://www.roadsterrenovations.info/suspension-products The combination eliminates that going to tip over feeling entirely.
