• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Was this a Fuel Indicator Reserve Notification?

Most of the time I refuel when the 3 dash lines appear. I usually top-up the tank every time I refuel. It usually takes between 19.5 to 20.5 liters of fuel to fill the tank. The tank capacity is 26.5 liters (7 US gal). This means that I normally have about 6 to 7 liters (1.6 to 1.8 US gal)...

What's the general opinion - Wax or Ceramic on your Spyder?

I'm a big fan of ceramic coatings. I get compliments all the time for my Yukon even when it's dirty. I used Ceramic Pro on the Yukon. For the Spyder, I knew that Satin/Matte finishes were a tricky to work with and cannot be touched-up easily when scratched. After much research I went with...

Which sway bar for my 2022 S2S ?

I have the same Spyder and I'm the same weight. I installed the Ultra-bar with height adjusters for those time when I ride two-up or carry extra stuff in the storage compartments. I have been riding all summer and have found that it makes a huge difference with handling. I really like it...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

During a dusk ride yesterday, I used the nice twilight background to take a shot of my Spyder.

Inquiring minds want to know.... will '23 RT brake pedal fit earlier models?

Well, bummer... Maybe they changed something in 2022+ RTs. Mine doesn't seem to be raised that much. Here is a picture from my 2022 I took tonight.

Inquiring minds want to know.... will '23 RT brake pedal fit earlier models?

You may be able to move it forward by one or two splines; or use Isopedella's suggested adjustable rod.

Imagine you are on your Spyder when this happens

You are quite correct. He was too close and didn't have the time or the space to react. There was quite the draft behind the trailer to lift that board. I suppose it's similar to vehicles ahead of us on the highway who drives over a big rig recap thread or some medium size road kill; if...

Imagine you are on your Spyder when this happens

This opened my eyes to the possible consequences of following too close and not seeing far enough ahead; especially on a Spyder or a motorcycle. :yikes: Following to close is not worth losing your head. Have a look at the following sequence captured by my son's dashcam. He couldn't move right...

Has Anyone Gone Back to 2 Wheels

Like many here, I also have never stopped riding 2 wheels. I sold my 2016 Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager 1700 last year to buy my Spyder because the wife became scared of riding on the big bike. :shemademe_smilie: She was the one who suggested the Spyder. However, I wasn't ready to leave the 2...

Will the 1330 engine adjust based on gas octane changes?

It's weird to be the same age as old people. ;)

Belt tension 190 on ground = how much wheel off ground?

I imagine that the below procedures may have been different for earlier Spyder years, but for those with a 2020+ Spyder, here is what the 2020+ Service Manual page 189 says: PS: I removed the part that says to use expensive ultrasonic BRP Belt Tension Meter (P/N 529 036 115).

When and where was the first time you rode a Can-Am tryke ??

The first time I drove a trike was when I picked-up my 2022 Spyder from the dealer and drove it home about an hour away. Almost a year later I still find it squirrelly on the highway, but I like it on backroads and in the city. Unfortunately the nearest Spyder laser alignment place is about...

What bike did you ride to get your motorcycle license ??

When I got my driver's license in 1973, motorcycle licenses did not exist in Quebec. When Quebec introduced Motorcycle licenses, everyone who already had a driver's license was grand-fathered. But it would not have mattered if I needed to pass a motorcycle test in 1973 since I had already...

Any info on Stinger Trailers? How dependable are they?

    Thank you very much for the Link. Did you get a Adap-X 600 (6'x10') or Adapt-X 700 (6'x12')? Update: I just found a dealer near Quebec City. An 2022 Apogee Adapt-X 600 6x10 sells for $5,794. https://www.centreduvr.com/en/vehicles/2022/apogee/adapt-x--600-6x10/montmagny/qc/50720531/...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Hi Ollicat, I assume that you meant XT in your question. I used almost everything in the Zumo XT box except for a 1 inch Ram ball with a circular base that was purchased from Amazon for $10. The Ram base is held in place by 2 small strips of 3M double sided moulding tape. Running the...
