• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Some questions, considering a Spyder

I'm 83, and have been riding for over 50 years. The SPYDER is an excellent choice. The Spyder is a good choice for you. I agree with all these other posts. : =)

    Steering

YOU HAVE TO BE MOVING THE SPYDER "POWER STEERING" ONLY ACTIVATES (WORKS) WHEN YOU'RE MOVING. NOT WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY. Hence the word "DYNAMIC". : =)

Anyone going to the bike fest in Red Lodge, MT in July?

MT FISHING REGS! Be sure to pick up the Montana fishing regs. before dipping a hook. We've been in draught conditions for the past 2 or 3 years, and the regs. have changed. Some waters are closed in July and August, so jus be sure to check. CapNCrunch, Stevensville, MT (Bitterroot Valley) : =)

Just a little more storage on an RT..??

CONSIDER .... WEIGHT AND BALANCE Being an old aircraft tech, I would think that both weight and balance would be thrown off when using the trailer hitch box with a load of stuff. As an option, I've used a set of textile saddlebags thrown over the back seat, and the passenger had plenty of...

Best way to keep mice from doing harm to Spyder

MOTH BALLS !!! I live out of town in the country (Montana), and we have field mice on our property. I park the Spyder in an enclosed garage, but they still got in! SO ........ I started using MOTH BALLS. I put them in used butter cups, and distributed 4 cups on the floor of the garage, one...

Basset Hound / Beagle I can feel your pain! I owned a Basset Hound, and am now on my second Beagle, so I know what you're talking about. LOL LOL But, ya gotta forgive 'em! They're great friends, and, after all, they are HOUNDS. : =) CapNCrunch

    Looking for opinions on dealerships...

GREAT FALLS AND KALISPELL DEALERS ARE BOTH GOOD I bought my 2011 RT-S SE-5 from The Kalispell dealer back in 2011. I had a good experience with them, but they have changed ownership a couple times since then. My last visit, for service, was in March of this year, and I had a very positive...

    Humming noise at any speed.

BELT GUARD / NO CLEARANCE WITH REAR TIRE I HAVE THE SAME BELT GUARD, AND IT WORKS GREAT. However, when I replaced the rear Kenda tire with a new Kumho, I got the same hum at speed. Turns out the guard was rubbing on the wall of the new tire. The guard is a very thin, strong piece of...

    Shoei vs HJC Helmets

HJC has always fitted me the best I've been riding for over 45 years, and tried a Shoei way back when, but it was always too tight, and really uncomfortable. Have been wearing HJC ever since, changing out every 3 or 4 years. They fit my oval ( long )shaped head perfectly. I had a 'low side"...

RT being remodeled by the mice

VERY GOOD ADVICE!! Keep your pets away from Decon, and it's victims!! CapNCrunch : =)

RT being remodeled by the mice

MOTH BALLS I STORE MY RT IN A CLOSED GARAGE, BUT THE MICE USED TO BUILD NESTS UNDER THE SEAT. To keep them out of the entire garage, where the riding lawnmower and ATV are also stored, I use MOTH BALLS. Plastic "butter cups" work great for containers, and I put one at each side of the garage...

Experienced Riders and Riding Gear - Am I kidding my self ??

YOU MIGHT TRY THIS FOR COMFORT AND SAFETY: I'm AN EX- FJR 1300 RIDER, TOO. And, hot weather really used to bother me...... BAD!! But I have found that a mesh riding jacket (with the armor), boots, leather gloves, and the helmet are the best combination for both comfort and safety in hot...

    What to wear?

NO SHORTS, T-SHIRTS OR FLIP-FLOP!!! I've been riding since 1951, and I can tell you that that light weight, feel good kind of gear will kill you, or at least break you up! The other comments make VERY good sense. I always wear a combination of protective gear. Luckily, I've only had one...

    Questions on Modular Helmets

HJC SEEMS TO FIT THE BEST OVER ALL You're right. Not all helmets are oval. My head is a long oval, and I can't wear a Shoi. They're too tight for me. HJC seems to fit the best, and the model is up to you. But, they really do fit oval shaped heads the best of anything I've tried to use...
